Hello MikeMirzayanov and the Codeforces team,
I am writing this post because my Codeforces account, @Ank08, was recently disabled, and I honestly don't know why. When I try to access my profile, I see the message "User is disabled by administrators." This happened after I participated in the latest Div. 1 + Div. 2 contest, and I was genuinely shocked to see it.
Competitive programming has been a huge part of my college life since my first semester. I have spent years solving problems, participating in contests, learning from my mistakes, and trying to improve a little every day. Over time, I have solved more than 2,000 problems, participated in over 200 coding contests, including 15 online prize-money contests, and taken part in around 99 Codeforces contests.
I have put a lot of time and effort into this journey, and my Codeforces account has been a big part of it. It contains my contest history, submissions, and the progress I have made over the years. Losing access to it so suddenly, without understanding the reason, has been really upsetting.
Alongside regular contest practice, I have also been preparing for ICPC with my teammates. We have spent many hours participating in mock contests, discussing problems, reviewing our approaches, and learning from one another. Our team has also cleared the ICPC Prelims, which is something we have worked very hard for and are proud of. We are looking forward to the regional stage and continuing our journey together.
Regarding the latest Div. 1 + Div. 2 contest, I want to clarify that I solved the problems independently. I did not use any LLMs, AI tools, or outside assistance during the contest. I worked through the problems using my own understanding and reasoning. I have kept my rough work, original source code, previous contest observations, and ICPC preparation materials. If any of my submissions raised concerns, I would be happy to explain my approach and provide relevant evidence to help clarify the situation.
I understand why Codeforces takes contest integrity seriously, and I respect the effort required to maintain a fair environment for everyone. I am not asking for special treatment because of my contest history or achievements. I am simply asking to understand what happened and to have my account reviewed fairly.
If a particular submission or activity led to this decision, I would really appreciate some clarification. I am willing to cooperate and provide any information that might help the administration understand my case. If this restriction was applied because of a misunderstanding or an error, I sincerely request that my account be restored. I understand that Codeforces takes contest integrity seriously, and I respect the effort required to maintain a fair environment for everyone. However, I want to be clear that I solved the latest Div. 1 + Div. 2 contest independently and did not use any LLMs, AI tools, or external assistance during the contest.
I am concerned that my account has been disabled without my understanding the reason behind the decision. If there are concerns about any of my submissions, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to understand them and explain my approach. I have preserved my original code, rough work, and other relevant preparation materials, which I am willing to share for review.
I am not asking for special treatment because of my achievements or contest history. I am simply asking for a fair review based on my actual submissions and the work I did during the contest. I hope the administration will give me an opportunity to clarify the situation and reconsider the restriction on my account.
I have cleared the ICPC Prelims with my teammates, and we are hoping to compete in the regionals this year. My Codeforces profile is an important record of my years of practice, contest history, and independent problem-solving. I respectfully ask the administration to review my account and, if possible, consider restoring access even if my latest contest submissions are excluded or disqualified. I am willing to accept the appropriate contest-specific penalty if a violation is established, but I hope that my entire account does not have to remain disabled. My Codeforces profile is also important to me as a record of my competitive programming history and for demonstrating my experience when needed. I want to continue competing honestly, and I would be grateful for an opportunity to have my account reviewed and restored if the circumstances permit.
I genuinely value the Codeforces platform and everything I have learned through it. I hope the administration will consider my request and give my account a fair review.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would be grateful for any clarification regarding the restriction and an opportunity to resolve the situation.
