Hello, Codeforces!

Welcome to OICon OJ! This is a new Online Judge developed by me. Do not forget to register your account for it!

In season 2026-2027, we (the KDOI Team) plan to hold a series of at least five rounds of contests on OICon OJ. Read this post to learn more about it.

We will hold the first round — KDOI Tournament 2026 Preliminary Round — on Aug/30 at 14:00 — 16:00 (UTC +8). If you are interested in experiencing CNOI-style contests, do not miss these contests! Note that this round will be the only written contest in the series. Both English and Chinese statements will be provided.

The setters and testers of the round are Error_Yuan, sszcdjr, and paulzrm.

See you on the OICon OJ!

Sounds interesting! Few things to clarify:

  • Could you add info on how to qualify for Semifinals/Finals? (I guess there should be some advancement rules if those rounds are called this way)
  • Will all rounds happen online?
  • Do you plan to provide any prizes for winners of the tournament/particular rounds?

Sorry if I'm rushing things and you actually were planning to add some/all of these details later, just wanted to explore the ground before first round happens.

    Hi! To answer your questions:

    1. This series of rounds is held for the first time, so there might be not much participants. Thus, in the first series, we plan not to set any restrictions for semifinals and finals. Everyone is encouraged to register.
    2. Yes, all rounds will happen online.
    3. We will provide prizes for semifinals and finals. Details will be published later.

    Thank you for your interest!

Thanks for the answers — super informative!

It kind of makes sense but from the other hand setting up some advancement rules will justify existence of the Advanced rounds and force more people to participate in them vs just going for Semifinals/Finals. For comparison — see participants number of MHC 2022 Qualification Round (27k people) where you needed to solve 1 problem in order to qualify for the main rounds vs next year's optional MHC 2023 Practice Round (just 12k) hosted in a similar format and designed to replace mandatory qualification. I understand that downside of setting such a rule can decrease pool of participants for Semifinals/Finals in the way you want to avoid (e.g. if somebody strong enough to pass will simply miss it). But otherwise I believe that you'll miss much more people on those 2 optional rounds which you are also clearly putting efforts into.
