Hi! In celebration of reaching international grandmaster, I've made a video describing my entire journey up to this point. This includes practice and contest mentality tips throughout for different skill levels. So, in a sense, it can serve as a (partially) complete roadmap up to at least red, although it gets a bit sparse later on. You can find the video here. Enjoy :)
The thumbnail of the video is a bit misleading? When you joined, the default rating was 1500, not 0. So it's more like 1500->2600 in 2 years. XD
ehhhhh
I just did that because it's easier for newcomers to understand :P
but it'd be true now at least
May I ask how many hours you do on average (per week) of competitive programming? In the video, you mentioned that when trying to get to Gold, you used all your free time on it, but I'm curious about a weekly hour count.
I honestly don't know. I think it could have been anywhere from 1-6 hours on weekdays, and on weekends, even more.
can you summarize it in a pdf.
Well not exactly. The current default rating is 1400 (which is pretty close to 1500), and rating changes are calculated using it. It's just that the displayed rating is different.
I guess the current default rating is 0. I mean now we have to start from 0 unlike others who started from 1400 or 1500
Uhm. Did you even read my comment?
And people these days wonder why they get downvoted.
Yeah...maybe, I misunderstood it.Sorry for that, my mistake:)
Lol it's seems like we have similar journey for all except rating :weary:
