        • Once a year we have 'new year'
        • Once a year we have 'school day' the first day kids go to school

        and I'm sure there is much more, just things I don't know about, but even if you get like +1 contrib on all of them, every year, then it's easy to have a lot of contribution, also once a year isn't that much, you have such days at least 50-90 times through your life, and that is only aside of the lucky point you can get from posting random comments and getting + contrib on that(like if you look every day for such cases, then you can get at least +10 contribution through the year)

            votes not contribution(I think), that is for example if you look at some accounts which got -120 contribution 2 years ago, and now they have something like -60 now, not -30

          I think there's nothing wrong sharing opinions on posts about events like this. It's just a way people have a look at what they've achieved for the past year and hope for the best in the future. Posting blog entries and comments about events is totally normal. Codeforces isn't just an educational platform. We have side events and many entries not so related to CP out there. People deserve votes or contribution points if they have a positive or funny comment or entry. You're blaming people for commenting on popular blog entries and getting contribution points from that, but that's how people get contribution points.

            yeah, I didn't say it's bad thing, or blaming anyone, I myself wanted to farm contribution on this alt-acc at first, though didn't get the happiness from that, I just mean, that like contribution used to be a hard thing to earn by posting educational stuff, but nowadays, if you look for right moments when you can farm it, then you are almost guaranteed to succeed, if you choose your point optimally enough(which I guess, is the actual skill nowadays lol)
