detective...dots's blog

In the past few days, I have seen a lot of blogs calling out cheaters and exposing them. I think the number of such blogs is huge, and it would be better if, instead of posting blogs, there were a button to report suspected cheaters—similar to what LeetCode does—where users can provide a reason for their suspicion. This would save unnecessary blogs and make it much easier to report cheaters without annoying others with accusations, defenses, or fake accounts.

Also, while we are at it, I think it would be a good idea to have some AI detect the expected rating for participants (similar to this one) and alert contest setters if someone exceeds their expected rating by a large margin. In many cases, this indicate cheating, so contest setters could investigate and skip their solutions if they confirm cheating instead of dealing with tens of blogs calling them out. The expected rating should, of course, be precomputed before contests so that the servers are not heavily affected.
