Why did Codeforces change the initial rating from 1500 to 0？

As far as I know, the initial rating for new codeforces accounts was 1500 until May 2020 and was changed to 0 after that, what was the reason for the change？

          The Wi-Fi signal is pretty great near my throne at The end of Time, so I have started venturing into newer domains one of which you mortals call CP. Though I am still pretty new at it, I am trying to improve.

              Ha ha ha, good humor my friend, I always believed that us Gods were way above beings like humans but after the events of Season 1 and 2 and thoughtful interactions with many of my friends like Mobius I have come to think that you people also have your own lives full of challenges and mystery of which I am happy to take part in.
