It's scary to think about it: there are already almost 1800 rounds in the list of past contests!
I started adding a filter to the table with these rounds. Right now, you can already filter by some of the types of rounds. Here's what I've supported:

На календаре уже февраль 2019-го, а это значит, что с отчётом за 2018-й год я припоздал. Приболел, разъезды — и вот результат. Лучше поздно, чем никогда! Давайте вспоминать прошлый год.
В 2018-м году к коллективу координаторов присоединились [user:_kun_,2019-02-05], [user:300iq,2019-02-05] и [user:arsijo,2019-02-05]. Работу координаторов возглавляет (и является координатором координаторов) [user:KAN,2019-02-05]. Я очень надеюсь, что более размеренный график подготовки раундов большим коллективом координаторов даст лучше вникать задачи. The duration will be longer than usual, likely 3 hours.
As usually in VK Cup, there will be three contests — div1, div2, official one.
All of them are rated.

VK Cup 2017 — Wild-card раунд 1 Hi all!
Tomorrow, on [April 5th 2017, at 15:35 UTC](https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=VK+Cup+Wild-card+Round+1&iso=20170405T1835&p1=166&ah=2) the first Wild-card Round of VK Cup 2017 will be held. Along with it there will be parallel unofficial round in which everyone can take part.
The rounds will use **special rules, the rounds will be unrated.** The problems were prepared by Codeforces team.
The detailed rules will be added to this post 30 minutes before the rounds. I can say now that there will be 24-hours open hacks phase after the round, like in Codeforces Educational Rounds.

The round will be almost usual contest with ACM ICPC rules. There will be 12 problems for 2 hours. During the round your solutions will be tested on some basic tests, they should be much stronger than usual pretests.

_Summer Informatics School (SIS / LKSH) is a summer school for students in grades 6-10. SIS is focused mainly (but not only) on students participating in the Olympiads in Informatics — from beginners to participants of international competitions. SIS is held in July and August, each of them is visited by about 200 students from all over Russia and abroad. The language of the camp is Russian. Right now, the August branch of the Summer Computer School is running, and on August 11 the traditional team Olympiad is going to place. I am happy to present a rated round based on it!

На открытии послушали вступительные слова организаторов. Участники заранее прислали забавные фотки и ответили на анкету с фактами о себе. Кроме того, в это же время состоится неофициальная трансляция этого соревнования, в которой могут принять участие все желающие.

Will competitive programming ever become a real sport? I always was dreaming that one day competitive programming will become a real sport, not just activity for a small group of participants. Why? Because I don't really like working and my tries to do some science were totally unsuccessful. It would be cool to live just by doing what you like. Very childish, I know.
But this blog is not about if competitive programming is important or are there any ways to make it interesting to watch to wider audience. I am just trying to understand, is it currently moving toward real sport or away from it? And I get some mixed signals about that:
Bad signals:
- Big onsites (like GCJ or TCO) seem to cut the number of participants and the amount of prizes.
- Some onsite-finals are turning to online-finals. For example, several years ago we had Russian Code Cup onsite in Russia, currently RCC Finals is online.
- Some big companies are turning away from sport programming (IBM is stopping sponsorship of ACM ICPC).

Квалификационный раунд VK Cup 2021 начнётся в [contest_time:1531] и завершится 30 мая в 23:59 МСК. Задачи для раунда подготовлены мной.
