My name is Igor Pyshkin. Throughout my academic career, I participated in a lot of programming and math competitions: I am the 2016 ACM ICPC World Champion and competed in the onsite finals of the Facebook Hacker Cup, Google Code Jam, and TopCoder Open. After completing my degree, I transitioned into a new field — high-frequency trading (HFT).

Four years ago, I founded my own HFT fund — Order Capital. Since then together with my colleagues I have been working really hard to reach the highest levels of the HFT industry. Launching this contest on Codeforces is quite special to me, as it is our first contest on the platform as a company.

I would like to thank the Codeforces team and everyone involved in the round preparation. Our internal testing team found the problems quite interesting, I hope you will enjoy them too.

How much does education cost?

EPIC Institute of Technology is completely free. There are no fees to register for exams, tuition fees or any other hidden liabilities. The only restriction for getting into EPIC Institute of Technology is age. You must be at least 18 years old to become a student.

How is the educational process organized?

Each program lasts exactly one year. The academic year consists of two semesters. Courses in the first semester are the same for all programs. Courses in the second semester depend on the selected major program.

During the semester, students complete homework assignments and take 2 exams—a midterm and a final. The final grade a student gets for each training course depends on the quality of completed assignments and participation in practical classes.

How will the classes be held?

Lectures will be pre-recorded and available for self-study. Practical classes will be held at the specified time according to the provided schedule. Also, students will have access to a Discord server, where they can discuss topics of academic interest with teachers and other students.

In what language will I study?

All programs are in English.

How can I apply?

The admissions process is as follows:

1) Register on our platform
— You can immediately try a test contest to check your readiness and get familiar with the platform.
2) Take one entrance exam on July 20, July 26, or August 1
— You only need to pass any single exam to qualify!
— If you don't succeed on one date, you can try again on the next.
3) Automatic enrollment for all who pass any exam.

What will happen after graduation?

Hello, Codeforces!

I am very excited to invite you to my first-ever contest, Codeforces Round 1034 (Div. 3), which will start on Jul/01/2025 17:35 (Moscow time)! In this contest, you will be given 2 hours and 15 minutes to solve 7 problems.

The round will be hosted by the rules of educational rounds (extended ICPC). Thus, all solutions will be judged on preliminary tests during the round, and after the round, there will be a 12-hour phase of open hacks. After the open hack phase, all accepted solutions will be rejudged on successful hacks. Also, note that there is no score distribution — rank will be determined by number of problems solved, followed by penalty; wrong submissions will incur the usual penalty of 10 minutes, following the rules of educational rounds.

As a reminder, only trusted participants of the third division will be included in the official standings table. This is a compulsory measure for combating unsporting behavior. To qualify as a trusted participant of the third division, you must:

• take part in (and solve at least one problem in) at least five rated rounds
• and not have had a rating of 1900 or higher at any moment in time.

Regardless of whether you are a trusted participant of the third division or not, if your rating is less than 1600, then the round will be rated for you (unless you register unrated).

Also, note the rule restricting the use of AI. If you are caught breaking this rule, you will be met with unfathomable punishments, so for your own well-being, I highly recommend adhering to the rules.

Этот раунд будет рейтинговым для участников с рейтингом менее 2100. Соревнование будет проводиться по немного расширенным правилам ICPC. Штраф за каждую неверную посылку до посылки, являющейся полным решением, равен 10 минутам. После окончания раунда будет период времени длительностью в 12 часов, в течение которого вы можете попробовать взломать абсолютно любое решение (в том числе свое). Причем исходный код будет предоставлен не только для чтения, но и для копирования.

Вам будет предложено 6 или 7 задач на 2 часа. Мы надеемся, что вам они покажутся интересными.

Hello everyone!

Some of you are using Codeforces to host private onsite contests. When doing so, you may want to give extra time to a participant due to technical reasons (maybe they had a problem with their PC so they lost some time from the contest).

Previously it was only possible to increase contest duration for everyone, but now you can do this selectively.

Navigate to the contest registrants page, and you will see all the contestants and will be able to add extra time there, given you are the contest manager.

We would like to know if there are any issues with this new feature, so let us know if you encounter any.

PS: Also, similarly to previously implemented feature for comments you can now change your vote on a blog post within a minute.

Во Jun/17/2025 17:35 (Moscow time) начнётся Codeforces Round 1032 (Div. 3) — очередной Codeforces раунд для третьего дивизиона. В этом раунде будет 8 задач, которые подобраны по сложности так, чтобы составить интересное соревнование для участников с рейтингом до 1600. Однако все желающие, чей рейтинг 1600 и выше могут зарегистрироваться на раунд вне конкурса.

Раунд пройдет по правилам образовательных раундов. Таким образом, во время раунда задачи будут тестироваться на предварительных тестах, а после раунда будет 12-ти часовая фаза открытых взломов, после её завершения все успешные попытки будут перетестированы на успешных взломах. Я постарался сделать приличные тесты — так же как и вы, буду расстроен, если у многих будут падать решения после окончания контеста.

Вам будет предложено 2 часа 15 минут на решение задач.

Штраф за неверную попытку в этом раунде будет равняться 10 минутам.

Напоминаем, что в таблицу официальных результатов попадут только достоверные участники третьего дивизиона. Как написано по ссылке — это вынужденная мера для борьбы с неспортивным поведением. Для квалификации в качестве достоверного участника третьего дивизиона надо:

• принять участие не менее чем в пяти рейтинговых раундах (и решить в каждом из них хотя бы одну задачу)
• не иметь в рейтинге точку 1900 или выше.

Независимо от того являетесь вы достоверными участниками третьего дивизиона или нет, если ваш рейтинг менее 1600, то раунд для вас будет рейтинговым.

This weekend concluded the first season of the Midnight Code Cup with a long-awaited 24-hour contest. 29 teams – the best from the qualification round, including the qualification winners Omogen Heap – competed on-site in Belgrade, Serbia, on June 7-8.

Team Omogen Heap jumped into first place around the midpoint of the contest and held the title until the very end. Congratulations to our first Midnight Code Cup champions on their dominant performance! Second place went to team GoodBye2023, and Jinotega finished in third.
