Order Capital

Hello everyone!

I invite you to take part in Order Capital Round 1 (Codeforces Round 1038, Div. 1 + Div. 2).

My name is Igor Pyshkin. Throughout my academic career, I participated in a lot of programming and math competitions: I am the 2016 ACM ICPC World Champion and competed in the onsite finals of the Facebook Hacker Cup, Google Code Jam, and TopCoder Open. After completing my degree, I transitioned into a new field — high-frequency trading (HFT).

Four years ago, I founded my own HFT fund — Order Capital. Since then together with my colleagues I have been working really hard to reach the highest levels of the HFT industry. Launching this contest on Codeforces is quite special to me, as it is our first contest on the platform as a company.

I would like to thank the Codeforces team and everyone involved in the round preparation. Our internal testing team found the problems quite interesting, I hope you will enjoy them too.

      I do not mean to be offensive, but it is not cool when employers aren't upfront about salaries. Furthermore, the latter two points under "We're a place where:" are kind of generic. All the other companies say similar things. Of course you can do whatever you want, but I really think that more thought could've gone into the post.

        We are upfront about our salary range, but salaries are different depending on the position, seniority, skills, etc.

I know that it is an unpopular opinion, but I feel a bit sad every time I see HFT advertising. A lot of smart people are involved in the sphere that produces absolutely nothing

I hope this round of the competition will be completed perfectly,the questions are of high quality and the competition is fair. This is the first time I've seen this type of competition on CodeForces. I'm also preparing to sign up for this competition. Wish me and all the contester good luck.
