ICPC Record — 5 teams from same college in top 100↵
==================↵
↵
Hello Codeforces! ↵
I just saw the top of the ICPC India Preliminary 2026 tentative rank list, and it belongs to a relatively unknown college. Shockingly, this single college has **5 teams in the top 100**, taking the absolute top positions over the usual IITs, NITs, and IIITs.↵
↵
The college name is **Padmashri Dr.B V Raju Institute Of Technology** : ↵
1. Rank 1: Team **Null Titans** — 10 problems solved ↵
2. Rank 2: Team **Gryffindor** — 9 problems solved ↵
3. Rank 6: Team **BitMasters** — 9 problems solved ↵
4. Rank 52: Team **Pheonix** — 7 problems solved ↵
5. Rank 54: Team **Purpose-Driven Programmers** — 7 problems solved ↵
↵
How can an unheard-of college suddenly output this level of performance and sweep the top 10 against the best competitive programming institutions in the country? ↵
Has anyone else noticed this? What are your thoughts on these standings-could this be a genuine massive leap in their CP culture, or is something suspicious going on here ?↵
↵
Given these unbelievable results, I strongly suspect foul play. Rumors are already spreading that some colleges shared the ICPC solution booklet(with different programming language like C, C++, Java, Python) with their students mid-contest. This completely ruins the genuineness of the rank list. I hope the ICPC India administration looks into this anomaly immediately.↵
