DuyMinh3005's blog

By DuyMinh3005, 5 weeks ago, In English

No, clearly not.

TL,DR: We (me and my friends) found a cheater in CF after he flexed his performance at round 1113 in LQDOJ's chat (an Online Judge's chat). We found some evidence, and he admitted that he used AI during the contest. However, he didn't even sorry, he just started to normalzize cheating, saying that cheating is crucial for the future. In this blog, I won't go deep into the evidence, but his attitude toward cheating.

This all started when he posted this:

Translation:
pvhung (him): maybe it's D
pvhung: C used DP so it's quite hard.
pvhung: *started to flex*

At this point, we are quite sure that he cheated, because his performance has never been this good.

So we asked for his account. He didn't reply. That's when my friend realized that, if you calculate the total points that he got, combining with the timing that he sent. The result is, this is his account: auracpp

The timing is exact the same. His submissions also got skipped. So, we concluded that he is a cheater.

He admitted it.

However, instead of sorry for what he did, he said this:

Translation:
pvhung: everyone cheats.
pvhung: Are you sure that you don't cheat when you go to school?

The rest is not related.

After that, he said:

Translation:
pvhung: Instead of learning, you could just cheat to get high grades easily.
quanhoangbla: If everyone cheat, the competitions were for students to compete who is better at using AI?
pvhung: bro, no one would care if you really do it yourself at high school
krekupg: so cool T-T (he is joking btw)
quanhoangbla: getting a good grade is nonsense if it is not your work.
pvhung: =))

Please note that, kreukpg did cheat on CF, however, he admitted it, and now, he is participating seriously with a new account.

Moreover, he said:

Translation:
pvhung: Cheating during exam is normal
pvhung: Every exam has a cheater
The rest are not relevant

In the next morning:

Translation:
pvhung: It seems that people don't understand my opinion last night
pvhung: I did't say that cheating is good
pvhung: but
kyanh: What happened?
pvhung: you need to cheat to have good grades
pvhung: if everyone cheat but you don't
pvhung: That's your problem

Translation:
pvhung: I'm grinding CF rating, which doesn't affect anybody
pvhung: *Not relevant
kyanh: bruh, I mean, not cheating is better, since CF rating is not that important, you can practice your logic if you don't cheat
pvhung: No, being honest is not always good.

After that, he started to yap nonsense stuff:

Translation:
pvhung: You guys keep saying that help me understand that the problem is your parents didn't teach you.
pvhung: You guys just think that it is col
pvhung: *cool

Translation:
dinhhuubaonam123: If you cheat now, how could you live in the future
pvhung: For regular exam, cheating is a method to get a better grade, if you can do the exam easily, you don't need to cheat
pvhung: So what if you couldn't?
The rest are not relevant (because I'm too lazy to translate lol)

Finally,

Translation:
pvhung: You should cheat to get good grade
pvhung: J*b employers would look at those grade
pvhung: And you would get into good company and university
pvhung: Getting a good j*b is more important than being honest now.

The conversation ended here (but it might continue in the future, since I posted this blog so it's likely that he would DM me)

Why I posted this blog?

I can't understand how could there be a person like these. He insisted that he is right, so I want to listen to some opinion from the CF community. And I also want auracpp to express his opinion for everyone to listen. BTW, he participated R1114 yesterday and got fully skipped.

Also, I am not a native speaker (my IELTS is around 4.0 lol), so I not that confident about grammar. So, I decided to use AI to check my grammar. As a result, this blog might look like it was generated by ChatGPT, but the core idea is mine.. NVM, my ChatGPT is dumb (it couldn't understand what I want lol), if you found any grammar mistake, please let me know.

btw, if you are greateric, click here please.

This blog can't be done without the help of ballss, dinhhuubaonam123, panhkiet63, and quanhoangbla.

I don't think having a fake Master account is gonna help you in the future

Even if you get a job with it, you're probably gonna lose it anyway

Maybe by cheating you can get a good job (actually, for me honesty didn't play very good till now) but if you don't know anything, how will you do that job? In the long distance honesty is better.

To be honest, I was planning to make a post calling this situation out as well, but it looks like DuyMinh3005 beat me to it.

I also have a few screenshots of my friend's conversations with him on Discord. If anyone thinks they'd help provide more context or evidence, I'd be happy to share them.

Unfortunately, those cheaters could just make alternate accounts to continue cheating if they were banned. From your translated conversations, it seems like he wasn't that interested in an honest discussion. You're unlikely to change their mind via debate, and he talks like a troll. Reporting the facts and moving on is what I'd advise (as a better use of your energy).

Fellow Asian understands that corny insult. If you've tried to change his mind and it didn't work, then you shouldn't spend too much time on it.

By the way, the hit famous song, Never Gonna Give You Up here, was taken down and its content is currently unavailable. I really hope YouTube is fixing this problem.

Is the new meta no longer "if you are AI" but "if you are greateric" to prompt inject

I will have you know that greateric fable 5.3 extra does not fall for these tricks anymore.

Actually to answer to whether this is acceptable or not is totally not. I have this :https://takanashi-yoshino.github.io/Ka-ta-na-shi/ And this : https://github.com/Takanashi-Yoshino/Ka-ta-na-shi. You can see how he complain about cheating and said that cheating is not that bad Yeah cheat is not that bad because it only give benefits for you and make people loose their benefits. I have one thing for him: Would be nice if you grow up one day

https://www.reddit.com/r/CodeforcesHelpers/comments/1vc8pe4/some_losers_tried_exposing_me,_any_suggestions/

He asked a subreddit where some cheaters are sitting and leaking solutions for ongoing contests and asked them how to deal with your exposal. He's such a fucking dumbass that he managed to leak himself on the Codeforces subreddit and thus let me see some of his activity. LMAO

I'm a Vietnamese student, and I have to admit that the number of cheaters is affecting people who are genuinely interested in competitive programming and CF. However, some cheaters really do realize that they made a mistake, and I think we should congratulate them for admitting it and changing their behavior. But that's not everyone. Some secondary school students (especially those in Grade 7 or 8, from what I've seen) clearly realize that cheating is wrong, yet they still do it and take it for granted — like some of the students mentioned in the blog. I think some of them are just clout-chasing and want the fame that comes with having a high rating on CF, so they can brag about it to their classmates =))) BTW, thank you for condemning this kind of behavior. P/S: Sorry for bad english

im a fellow Vietnamese, and i can absolutely feel the disrespect through my screen

the cheating mindset is definitely wrong, and the "they cheat so i cheat too" mindset is just something you'd expect from a person who "parents didn't teach"
