Starting from ARC196, the upper rated limit for ARC Div.1 will change from 2799 to 2999.

ARC Div.1 is currently in an experimental phase, and we appreciate your understanding as frequent changes may occur.

As of ARC196, the competition format for ARC Div.1 is as follows:

  • Rated range : 1600-2999
  • Performance cap : 3400
  • Contest duration : 150 minutes
  • Number of tasks : 4 or 5
  • Vote: I like it
  • +28

Is there any particular reason for a smaller-than-usual gap of only 200 points between the performance cap and the upper end of the rated range?

Why isn't performance cap moved to 3400? With the way it is right now, it seems to discourage partcipating (rated) when rating is above 2800.

Initially, there was a possibility of setting the rated cap at 3099, and the performance cap was set at 3200 to make it difficult to achieve a rating of 3200 solely through ARC. However, since the rated cap was ultimately set at 2999, this necessity no longer existed. As a result, we discussed the matter again among the admins and decided to raise the performance cap to 3400.
