Although I haven't read through the details of the paper, I feel quite excited by the fact that an undergrad student was able to come across this innovation -- although I may be reading too much into the fluff of the article

Poses a few questions in my mind

1. Is this going to affect competitive programming, is it useful at all?

2. How long before there's a neal blog about blowing up this map / table?

3. Given the current AI rush throughout the world, it makes you wonder when / if at all AI would ever be able to achieve feats like this?
