Why is my friend so fat?

I have a friend, his CF username is cezarica. At school we call him Bulk or Pauză de Masa(Lunch break). He told me he would try to lose weight to impress a girl but he keeps gaining weight. He is ok at codeforces, but i think he eats his rating and that is why he still a newbie after 2 years. I also have a smelly friend, his CF username is Postolache.
