How do you hack another person's solution?

Revision en3, by Soencer, 2020-04-26 22:05:10

If I double click another person's solution on the standings page, it brings up a box with their submissions for the problem, and the latest one says "Hack It!". However, when I click this, it just takes me to the standings page again. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit: It actually just takes me to the page I have most recently visited; if I reload another tab on the CodeForces website (say I have the standings tab open as well as this blog post, and I reload this blog post tab) it will take me to that tab the next time I click the hacking button. Is this supposed to happen?

Edit 2 (Solution): I found an old blog post from somebody with the same problem. If you open the submission and then hack it from there it works. For some reason it gives me an "Illegal Contest ID" even though the url looks valid (Contest ID is 1342). I hope this gets fixed but that's a workaround for now.
