Introduction

As a chronically online high school programmer, my daily navigation throughout the World Wide Web is fraught with much temptation and distraction.

Having no self-discipline whatsoever, I found myself spending HOURS on Tetr.io and Instagram. Rather than solving CF/USACO problems, I would be wasting my life away on meaningless games and reels.

Finding a solution

Being an ABC highschooler, I was consuming my already limited time at an alarming rate. Realizing most of my online distractions came in the form of websites, I turned to online solutions. Specifically, site blockers, to stop myself from reaching these sites. These sites, however, were easily uninstalled, and extremely unappealing, often appearing cold and direct.

Making a solution

Rather than using a run-of-the-mill browser extension, I decided to create my own. The largest problem with conventional browser extensions is that they are easily uninstalled. Since making a chrome extension unable to be installed is both implausible and unethical, I instead had to find a way to make the users not want to uninstall the extension.

So I thought to myself, "what is something that I would never wish to remove from my life?"

Two words immediately popped into my mind:

ANIME WAIFUS
