i have been associated with solving problems for one year almost, i learnt some common algorithms and i can even solve some of the A level problems from codeforces but i cant solve many problems and dont have a clue how to solve. i dont really have any coach, so im asking to codeforce community, what am i missing? what exactly should i learn before i can solve problems with my own efforts and at least be a pupil in contests?

please help with guidance, thanks! :)

Search for tutorials online. Geek for geeks or even on YouTube.

I reached 1300+ without learning algorithms. I knew some basic data structures.. I think you need to practice..To reach 1200 rating your comfort zone needs to be in atleast 1200 difficulty problems.. Basic logic building ability is enough for reaching 1200 in Codeforces .
