We (anango, bensonlzl, 79brue, Boomyday12343, eternal1422, ewirlan, for_clarifying, Feet_McYeet, jer033, jay_jayjay, jatloe, MinaRagy06, MtSaka, Mingyu331, RecursiveCo, SHZhang, _sadhamster_, zhoukangyang), current students at MIT, are excited to announce that registration is now OPEN for the MIT Informatics Tournament 2026–27 Winter Contest (M(IT)²)!

The contest will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, both in person at MIT and online.

M(IT)² is a full-day competitive programming event hosted by MIT students, open to programmers of all levels, including high school and college students. Participants will compete in teams of up to three in either the Beginner or Advanced Division. Both divisions will feature an individual round followed by a team round.

• Beginner Division: A 2-hour individual round with 5–6 problems, followed by a 3-hour team round with 9 problems.
• Advanced Division: A 2-hour individual round with 5 problems, followed by a 3-hour team round with 9 problems.

We expect the problems to range roughly from 800 to 2200 in Codeforces rating for the Beginner Division and from 1700 to 3000 for the Advanced Division.

There will be approximately $7,500 in cash prizes! In-person contestants will also enjoy free meals and limited-edition merchandise, as well as the opportunity to attend our Activities Night on Saturday, December 5, 2026.

The registration deadline is November 22 for the in-person competition and November 29 for the online competition. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early!
