CP Compass – A Competitive Programming Analytics Platform for Codeforces
Hi everyone!
Over the past few months, I've been working on a project called CP Compass, a web application built specifically for Codeforces users to help them better understand their performance and identify areas for improvement.
The application synchronizes your complete Codeforces history and analyzes your submissions to generate meaningful insights. It computes topic-wise statistics by grouping every solved and attempted problem according to its tags, calculates acceptance rates for each topic, and identifies your strong and weak topics based on your performance. It also analyzes problems across different rating ranges to determine your growth zone—the highest difficulty range where you're performing reasonably well and are ready to push further. Based on these insights, it recommends an unsolved problem that matches your current level and areas that need improvement.
I built it to make it easier to understand where you're improving, where you're struggling, and what you should practice next—all in one place.
The goal is to answer questions like: Which topics am I consistently struggling with? Which topics are my strengths? Which rating range should I practice next? What problem should I solve now?
Features
Dashboard
Provides a comprehensive overview of the user's Codeforces profile, including current rating, maximum rating, total contests, total submissions, problems solved, strong and weak topics, growth zone, and recent solving activity.
Recommendations
Generates personalized Codeforces problem recommendations based on the user's current rating, weak topics, growth zone, and previously solved problems to encourage focused practice.
Contest History
Displays the complete Codeforces contest history, including contest rank, rating changes, and the problems solved during each contest.
Topic Insights
Analyzes performance across Codeforces topics by displaying attempts, accepted solutions, acceptance rate, and average attempts required before solving each topic.
Progress Review
Summarizes the user's competitive programming journey by presenting total problems solved, contests participated in, average problem rating solved, highest-rated problem solved, and solving activity over different time periods.
Try it out
Website: https://cp-compass.vercel.app
Just create an account, connect your Codeforces handle, and sync your profile.
The first sync may take a little longer for users with a very large submission history since it imports everything. After that, subsequent syncs are much faster.
Feedback
I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
If you notice any bugs, have ideas for new features, or think something could be improved, please let me know. I'm always looking for ways to make it more useful for competitive programmers.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you find CP Compass helpful!
