So, my question goes out to those whom are 1400+, how exactly did you start getting the required performance (avg. 1450-1500) in contests? Im currently practicing in 1300-1600 range, can consistently solve A + B under 10-15 mins but i get slimed on C, i know ive posted a similar blog but this time im asking for more general advice rather than C problems. Appreciate <3

Solve 1400- and 1500-rated problems until you have at least 70 solved problems in each rating. However, choose the problems carefully. Avoid very old problems; try to solve problems from roughly the latest 50 contests. Also, do not select problems based on tags yourself before solving them. I highly recommend using this: https://www.acodedaily.com.
https://karimelghamry.github.io/Codeforces-Randomizer/ I use this site, is it good? (I try to solve problems later than 1500, like 1500C or 1600c)
Any website is fine as long as the problems aren't too old. Once you're consistently solving 1400- and 1500-rated problems in around 30 minutes on average, it's a good time to start tackling 1600-rated problems.
Thanks a lot!
thanks for these websites, these are really helpful, will surely do them according to dates
I hope you have a fun elo climb to green! I hope there is div3-4 so we can grind upto cyan hehe
And here I'm struggling with 1200-1300 rated questions. How can I improve enough to solve 1200-1300 consistently within 30 mins?
Im in the same boat as you man, honestly just keep solving and it works out. Also, think simply and try to observe stuff
" can consistently solve A + B under 10-15 mins but i get slimed on C" Your contest history shows otherwise though, you seem to solve C fairly consistently.
True, but I believe I should do better and sometimes it takes too long for me to get the C and the ideas so i drop to 4k~ rank and lose elo
how about trying atcoder to train problem-solving speed in general
thats a good idea! ill check it out
