I saw this blog post about requirements to create a contest. My question is, is the requirement still to be 2100 at one point? The reason I ask is because I've seen wonderful Div 2 contests hosted by purple and blue people, and I'd like to try my hand at problem making sometime in the future.

When you reach a rating 2100+ you will see a new option in your profile says "Propose a contest/problems".
thank you! i often see people who are under 2100 peak writing/contributing to contests though, would you happen to know how that happens?
Only the one who's posting the proposal has to satisfy either 1. 2100+ 2. previously authored a contest. So it's either someone 2100+ posted the proposal (by coauthoring) or they authored a contest previously (technically can be div.3 or div.4)

I Actually don't know , there is even the authors of the rounds Div.3/4.. I don't know how they author these rounds, because 2100+ rating people can only contribute with div.1 + div.2 contests.
div3/4 doesn't use the same proposal system as div 1/2, and it doesn't have the same rating requirement
