April Fools Day Contest 2026 Definitely Official Editorial

Because the official editorial is slow, here's mine.

A: look at the arrow colour and orientation — each arrow type is paired up with another identical arrow — other than C2.

B: find the unicode symbol of the emoji in the problem description (1F601)

C: inside the mash of letters, the phrase "XOR MINUS MEDIAN" is encoded, take the xor of the three numbers and subtract the median to get the answer.

D: I don't even fucking know. walk, no, no, no, yes, yes, backwards, seven. Am I a human? Am I an AI? Am I pretending to be a human? An AI? I think I'm doing a bad job at pretending to be both. Ergo I must crawl into a hole and have an existential crisis. Six seven. Six seven. Six seven.

E: pay attention to the spelling of "dikjstra" — this is a reference to mixing up the variables in floyd-warshall's algorithm. Code it up with the three loops in the order "i, k, j" and you get the answer. Trivial, really.

F: someone enlighten me.

G: look at the submissions of "AprilFoolsClairvoyant". He submitted to B, then, I, then G, etc... this spells out BIGCHADJEFF. find the ith character.

H: https://piellardj.github.io/stereogram-solver/. How the fuck do 67676767 people know about this and not me? Cheaters. Rampant cheaters.

I: The three laws of robotics. Isaac Asimov. Robot strategy is to minimise the number of dead humans, then the number of dead bots. I realised the human part but not the bot part..... :(

J: unfortunately there's no smart way round this — just solve all the captchas....

    hey,

    i just want to clarify that i have a new account and i am going through my reform arc, i mean i have my new account and i am really working on it instead of cheating,

    it depends on you that you want to stop trolling of continue

    i just wanted to tell everyone that "i officially have a new account and i have left cheating, and i dont even comment and blog shitposts now"

    i will never visit this id again (last time i visited it 7 months ago)

    also, i want to say sorry(really) to everyone , for my shitpost of plagiarism detector, and my cheating(past cheating)

      first of all, mention the account, and you already said this, then cheat from your account fresh_tangerines so you escape to another account now, if your not cheating, why don't you mention it, also why you lie in your account X-detector about not being fresh_tangerines? And then you just went silent after your messages were exposed

        yeah swarya and fresh both were cheater account

        and x-detector was a alt but i was a dumb piece of shit and thought that it is good to just lie for my fucking project

        and here is my new account "Swastik_P"

        i am not cheating on this one, and please dont troll me there, i want peace

        also, i am very insecure, like really insecure about my looks, so please if possible remove the photo

        edit 2: SwastikPandey_cheater i was really afraid that i would unintentionally farm downvotes if i commented from this account so i avoided making comments or sending messages

        and i have solved only 1 rated contest because only 1 contest have happened since creation of this account

        and no, it is not alt

        i am attempting as many problems as i can and i am solving every contest, i even attempted april fool today

          yeah, I can remove it, but you explain first, why this account only have 1 contest(perhaps this is an alt, just to show an account?), and why do you come like 1 day after I put it up, also I cannot reply your message, because I sent another message to another user, so I cannot message more then twice, per hour
