Hi, Codeforces!

Remember this post https://codeforces.me/blog/entry/105779 about highlighting test cases in example inputs?

Well, with a quick push, Vladosiya and I have now added support for highlighting cases in the outputs as well. On hover (or tap on mobile), the corresponding input and output cases even get highlighted together. Look at this beauty:

There's still a bit of polishing needed for situations when authors add custom outputs or in some other unusual scenarios, but the basic functionality is already there and ready to use.

Enjoy the upcoming rounds!

I noticed this today during the contest, and I was like, "Dude, was this always a thing because I swear I've never seen this. Maybe the contest writers added it somehow".

It's a wonderful addition, thanks

I think there is a bug for the problems which has 2 or more examples

For instance, 2139E2 - Maple and Tree Beauty (Hard Version)

This feature is applied for the questions after the recent edu round or even the problem's that are before edu round?

Cuz I was unable to see the highlighting for output on this question:recent DIV 4 E

This is very useful because when 6-7 sample test cases are given, then it becomes hard to match output line with input line, especially in constructive problems. Really thanks for this feature.

Rev. 2
Vote: I like it 0 Vote: I do not like it

I have encountered a couple bugs pertaining to this new feature:

  1. Hovering over an input does not change the appearance of the output section for me. In fact, the output section is now one solid color instead of the alternating colors (which were previously used for making distinctions between each sample output). (I have tried this on firefox, chrome, and other chromium-based browsers, all of which have this issue.)
  2. It seems that hovering over an input temporarily sets the document width and height to extraordinarily large values. Upon scrolling while in this state, moving/hovering the mouse over the input will cause the page to sporadically jump between where I last scrolled and back to the top-left of the document (which causes a flickering effect).

If needed, I can provide a video.

this is useful, thank.

may I request another feature, when our tests fail due to WA, the report only shows that token doesn't match on line number XYZ ..

now if we have this mapping where we know which line of output matches with which input, can we please have wrong submissions show us the input for failed test case

Hello MikeMirzayanov,

I had earlier written regarding my handle AkshitKumarSingh being blocked from submissions.
It has now been about more than a week, and I wanted to kindly follow up to check the status.

I also wanted to mention that I am a college student currently taking regular classes in competitive programming.
My Codeforces account is linked with my coursework, and in my classes we are required to submit solutions in C++.
Since my account is blocked for C++ submissions, I am unable to participate fully in these exercises, which is affecting my learning.

I sincerely apologize again for the earlier mistake during Kotlin Heroes Practice 13, and I assure you it will not happen again.
I kindly request if you could review my case and let me know whether the block is temporary or permanent.

The standings page in our gym cannot be opened as a manager, displaying the following message:

'Ooops! Something has broken down in Codeforces. Do not panic, you can try to reload the page or return Home. Anyway we will carefully read megabytes of logs, analyze stacktraces and fix the problem.'

Does anyone know why?

Hi! Thanks for the sample case highlighting feature—really useful. But for few problems i am unable to observe this feature nowadays like, On contest 2148, problem D, the input↔output hover highlighting doesn’t activate for me (browser: Chrome/Edge, OS: Windows 11). I tried refreshing and disabling extensions, but no luck. Is this the same for others too or is it happening only with me?
