Hello Codeforces Team,
I received a plagiarism notification for my submission for problem 2112B in Educational Codeforces Round 180 (Rated for Div. 2), citing similarity with another user's submission.
All my submissions from A to D were skipped.

The problem was very simple and straightforward, with a fixed structure leading to only three possible outputs: 0, 1 or -1, based entirely on a few if-else conditions (I solved it 12 minutes into the contest). Given the deterministic logic and limited number of valid approaches, there is a high probability of multiple users arriving at very similar code independently.
I would like to clarify that I did not (and have never) cheat or share my code. I wrote my solution independently using VS Code on my personal computer, without using any public compilers, shared environments, or collaboration.

In this particular question I kind of agree that the chance of arriving at largely similar solutions is quite likely. In fact i did not attend the contest but when i tried solving the problems myself later, I sort of had similar code flow. You just need a for loop to check for absolute differences <= 1, another for loop to check if the array isn't monotonic and then print -1.

Honestly, it feels quite strange to have a plagiarism check for a problem like this .Hopefully, this gets reviewed and corrected.
us even i got flagged in a div2B recently even though my code was exactly the editorial code , plag check must not exist for As and Bs.

you solved A, B, C, D
Are you sure no other solution matches your C and D, and only flagged submission is problem B?

This guy is genuinely working hard. How did they detect plagiarism? It's such a strange thing on Codeforces.
CF falsely accused me of cheating a year ago. My problem was I and a CM copied a template that was publicly available in GFG. The template was the solution, just plug and play type. I was the second used of that template, and got skipped, I posted and messaged mike, but nothing worked.
So yes, you are falsely accused, and CF doesn't give a DAMN about their false flag (Until you are a high rated coder).

Sorry to hear that. But, as far as my knowledge extends, copying a publicly available gfg template is allowed. I think I have also used that one or two times. Did not get skipped on those submissions.
Yes I also used gfg code as I knew about the third party code rule. I also commented on the top in my code that is was taken from GFG. But the plag checker maybe doesn't work like that, if you see by percentage there were 85% match(or more) in two codes, like just main functions were different. So plag checker automatically flags that, without involving any manual check, same thing can go for your case.
If cf doesn't solve your problem, just continue with it, maybe open a new id if needed. I just used another ID and became blue
lol I had exactly the same code too(except for the define int long long part): 325825112 I dont think I would need to copy-paste a code 1h after the contest on a problem like this.
