In the last round (Codeforces Round 1007 (Div. 2)) I have noticed multiple people submitting similar solutions, The cheaters just copied a solution for 2071D1 - Бесконечная последовательность (простая версия), After some search (I really need to get a life) I was able to find the solution on you that they copied from:
The two important line here are these:
cout << a[(int)l] << "\n";
and
if (m <= n) return p[(int)m];
There is no real reason for someone to cast an to index from long long to int in the middle of the contest, but, most cheaters also have this in their code (some even cast to ll for some reason)
Of course people who cheated must also have the same approach, but this eliminates the possibility that they may have came with the same solution as the one leaked on youtube.
Here are some cheaters from the top 20:
308322024 (He is using Java, but still it's hard to not be copied)
I was planning to do the entire first page, but didn't expect to find that much cheaters, doing the entire first page would take forever..
Note that these are the submissions that copied the type cast, maybe there are still some cheaters didn't do so, the type cast indicates that the original solution that these was copied from was written in a language like Java.
The fact that a lot of people were able to cheat their way to the top 20 of a div 2 and have a performance of a red coder is scary.
I think IP ban should be implemented into codeforces to reduce cheating, because this is becoming a real issue.
Edit: This user mehukhal was streaming during the contest and used some LLM to slightly modify solutions, a lot of submissions are too similar to those LLM modified solutions.
After checking the submissions the first one to do this was this one: 308309430.

Auto comment: topic has been updated by The.Rizzler (previous revision, new revision, compare).
actually these codes are not that similar even though they used unneccecery things , but if you go down a bit you will find codes that are a copy of the youtube code (just with different variables and function names).
The ones I have mentioned are either an edited version of the yt code above, or mehukhal's code.
I think the ones that straight up copied the youtube solution will surely get skipped, unlike those who tried to modify their code to not get skipped.
so sad how coding has become now
It's really stupid, their rate won't help them in achieving anything other than showing themselves how good they are or whether they need to practice more, If it's for finding a job it won't even help, and even if it does there will surely be an interview anyway where cheaters will be clowns and won't be able to cheat during it.
by that i thing CP rating will become like chess rating by the time .
tuamitk42 has same submission
sorry guys , i shared that code to my friend and he public it TxT
Of course, your friend shared your submission and sent it to the past using a time machine, this is the only way to explain how a lot of people submitted the same code before you.
It took tourist and jiangly around 30 minutes to solve D1, while some cheaters solved it in much less time than this, I suspect someone might have leaked the problems before the contest, either this or somehow someone better than both tourist and jiangly was posting the solutions.
You can't assume it took x minutes for some person to solve y problem in a contest just from their submission time, they might have been working on other problems, like jiangly did D2 and D1 together.
I agree with you, but it's more likely that tourist was working on D1 after D2 because it doesn't make sense to try another problem, a lot of LGMs took a similar amount of time to solve it, you can also check um_nik's stream where he spent a lot of time in D1
d1 is the type of problem that you either solve in 5 mins or 30 mins
I think LGMs tried D2 than D1, so it took more time than the others. You can see that jiangly's submission time of D1 and D2 is the same. I think we must believe problem editors.
seems like the rank 3 is cheating as well, he was previously caught for using multiple templates in one contest, now he's using chatgpt? 308341189 by lequoctran181, cheated his way to IM, very impressive
Codeforces really needs better cheating prevention. There are so many cheaters that it's starting to become unrealistic to manually check every solution, and hundreds of cheaters are likely still getting away.
