I just started anime, and now I understand why some programmers like anime. Cause it saves you your sanity. Why do you think?

Let me tell you my own story. (Note: The environment I am in is limited to certain regions of China and cannot represent China. It is only my personal opinion.)

I also enjoy anime. But in fact, I liked anime before I started programming. From the beginning, I watched anime because it was very novel to me at that time, when I was still a child. Later on, I watched anime because I thought some of the characters were cute, and later because some of the characters were very s*xy. After entering the programming industry, I found a problem: most programmers communicate online, and people generally expect a more perfect version of themselves, so when they can improve their identity, they will do their best; But not everyone can do better, so they will change their first impression: by giving themselves a anime beautiful boy and girl or some other cartoon characters' avatars. (Of course, there are also people like me who draw their own) And speaking can be cute and loving, so more people will be willing to talk to you.

Of course, having only one avatar is not enough; People around are watching anime. They not only watch anime, but also like to immerse themselves in the characters of their avatars and speak in their tone, as well as some memes brought from anime. I don't know anything, I just started programming. What the hell is this? "Then I started watching anime. From 1990 to 2020.

As a Chinese student, there is a lot of pressure. I am not saying that there is not much pressure elsewhere, or that Chinese students have particularly high pressure; But I do feel that I am under a lot of pressure. As compensation, sometimes I paint by myself at night; I like foxes, so I draw foxes. Slowly, I realized that the cute fox was like that, so I took the opportunity to enter the Furry circle and learned Furry's painting, while also adding more anime. Now it's too cute to be separated for me.

Anime is like a spiritual home for me, it can satisfy some of my fantasies and preferences, so that I won't be troubled for a long time because I can't solve problems or something, and I don't need some extreme people in our middle school class to take inappropriate ways to achieve happiness. The joy of watching anime is simple and simple: I can be happy for the protagonist for a long time because I see a happy ending, and then I can gain stronger motivation because I know the cute protagonist already has his own life. I can also feel uncomfortable for a few nights because I see a sad ending (some years ago, Bad Ending would occasionally come out and bother me at night, making me cry and wet my pillow), but no matter what, anime at least ensures that my emotions are at the level that a teenager should have.

Actually, there are paused animations next to me while typing. Of course, in the minds of some people, it may be an argument, or some people may not like anime; We hope that we will all be tolerant.

(This text is too long for me to check my grammatical errors, mistakes or spellings, so forgive some tiny faults and try to guess how they should be.)

Anime comes in many different genres. Which genre do you like?
This is a bit off-topic, but I recommend Attack on Titan, which is one of the most popular anime. It’s full of mysteries and has many plot twists, with a logical and coherent storyline from start to finish. I think anyone who enjoys programming would love it.

All but $$$1$$$ anime(s?) are trash. I'd rather watch whatever is on the youtube trending page right now.

Some possible reasons: Competitive coding correlates to anime as

1) they both need easy access to the Internet especially fron a young age

2) programmers tend to be intrinstic

3) CP players are used to community-driven discussion, so are anime fanbases

Most people will think "your saying" as "your avatar's saying". And anime chatacters are adorable.

Also, most (competitive or not competitive) programmers are introverted, and most introverted people like watching anime.
