It was just announced that IOI 2027 will take place in Potsdam, Germany. This makes Germany join one of the now 6 countries who have/will have hosted an IOI twice, along with Greece, Egypt, Bulgaria, Hungary and Singapore (2x online).

Do you know date of IOI 2025?
Nope, in the IOI 2025 website they only say When: 2025 lol
But it usually doesn't differ that much from year to year. Prob early september still.
Do you have any idea about why IOI held so late to compare other international olympiad(ICHO, IMO, IBO, IPHO)?
Other international olympiad usually held before august
Not really. Must be to not collide with the other ones or something along those lines.
But it really is kind of bad, especially considering that this time is the start of the semester for most of the US colleges.
It is bad for our country's students(It is very good if ioi held in july)
Chinese Taipei.
Edit: Yes, you have the rights to downvote me to hell, and I have the rights to post it. I'm Chinese, and I love my country.
My bad if I affected China with my opinions. After all I'm a very powerful high school sophomore from fucking Brazil lmao
brazil mentioned lets gooooo
Btw, did you know that arthur.nascimento authored a task this IOI? It was also one of the hardest + most decisive problems this year. Pretty cool.

have deleted my original comment because it's kind of offensive for some people who love their countries, and i respect that and also my cf contribution points.
The Republic of China has long ceased to exist, and the "independent state of Taiwan" is not recognized by the United Nations,so which country are you loving?
The Ming dynasty and The Tang dynasty.

Do you also love the 2 million people currently held against their will in concentration camps?
I think your allegations are incorrect. All products we own are mass produced by China so how can they spare people who they need as laborers?
Please do not downvote if this economic logic is incorrect
I hope you realise that you're advocating for literal slavery
As a student who intended to be a capitalist, I agree with his logic, and I'm also an advocate for literal slavery as well.

Who knows where will IOI 2025 take place

Looking forward to participating there)
how about IOI 2026?

I wouldn't want to mention politics, but the official IOI website shows that only IOI2014 was held in Taiwan, does that mean you are counting IOI2000, which was held in Beijing, as well?
That suits a "One China policy" by a literal means though.Lol I realized that initially the blogposter mistakenly put Finland into the list too. I suspect which Wikipedia the blogposter was using.
Frick, I read wikipedia wrong. I wasn't referring to Beijing tho, just counted wrong lol. Really sorry for the confusion. Will update blog now.

Nice! Deutschland!
China have hosted IOI twice, too. IOI 2000 and IOI 2014.
According to the IOI official website, China & Taiwan belong to different regions.
It is not about politics, but this is the IOI rule, just like hksar and China has two teams in the olympic games. and the hksar and the China both have their individual medal lists.
Therefore we should use "countries and regions".
You are right.
Conguatulations Germany! Although it is not my country as a matter of fact.
I agree with the comment that Taiwan is one of the China's provinces. I love my country and I'm against all of the actions which may or will split China.
forgive, but if you invade your own province. Does that not split more?
One of those actions being Taiwan having their own government?
as a student who was studying only for the iranian computer olympiad 2026 this news motivated me to study harder for the ioi so technically if i win an ioi medal in the future you are the one who motivated me,thank you in advance
Hungary has also hosted IOI twice, 1996 and 2023
Edited, thanks! I guess I did miss a lot of those, my bad :(
They have made a website :) https://ioi2027.de/
