AI labs once treated codeforces problems as a benchmark to hill-climb. They have clearly succeeded at this goal, and achieved superhuman performance for pennies. However, we all know that there's one thing much more important than rating on CF. Conspicuously, it just so happens to be the case that AI is much worse than humans at this one thing. What is this "one thing", you ask? Farming contribution, of course.
Recent events (or should I say "Recent actions"?) unfortunately suggest that AI might be developing moderate competence in this once human-dominated field too. This blog has received 172 upvotes, something unheard of for AI-authored content.
As a foremost expert in this field, I'm introducing ContributionBench, a benchmark that aims to measure AI progress in contribution-farming.
The methodology is simple and robust:
- A blog is eligible for the benchmark if and only if pangram detects >95% of it to be AI-generated, and it contains no embedded images/videos.
- A blog's CCI (Contribution Capability Index) is equal to $$$\dfrac{v + c/5}{\sqrt[3]{L}}$$$, where $$$v$$$ is the number of upvotes, $$$c$$$ is the number of comments, and $$$L$$$ is the number of characters in the title + body.
