I hope you don't mind me using this comment in problem C. I just found it funny :p |

All div 4 (and div 3 with easy first problems) contests clog up the queue. It's not the authors fault for setting the easiest A in coding history. They're required to. |

Wazzup guys! I encourage you to participate in CerealCodes for their Summer 2024 Contest. What is CerealCodes? CerealCodes is an organization based in the United States dedicated to running high quality competitive programming contests. We were responsible for Codeforces Round 887 (Div. 1), and you can check out our previous contest here and here. We are holding our second contest on August 17th-18th with over $1k in prizes for pre-college students and some great raffles for everyone! You are able to make teams up to three. If you're interested, be sure to join our discord server and check out the logistics for the contest here. Disclaimer: This round is not affiliated with CerealCodes. |

Heyo, for those who are reading this, I highly recommend you to participate in Codechef Starters 144. Even though I was never a big fan of CodeChef contests, I watched satyam343 pour his heart, sweat, soul and tears into the contest. Even if you don't usually do CodeChef, you should totally make an exception just this once! |

tbh learn from leetcode: for the first skipped contest: make the round still rated for them but move ranking to the bottom of the leaderboard just ban after second infraction |
|
+9
if the round is rated for them and they have star, then they got caught by plag lol |

Large test cases near the maximum constraint are necessary to test that the contestants code is fast enough to receive full credit. These test cases generated and are run against the intended solution. When you take the contest, the same test data are ran against your solution and it will be judged correct if it matches the output of the intended solution. |

I wasn't counting the first case, solely the second case where the extra triangle shares one side with the $$$x$$$-polygon and two with the outer. |

that sentence was added an hour before the round LOL |

anyone can participate, regardless of your rating! |

C is broken up into two subtasks, the easy version worth $$$1250$$$ points and the harder version worth an additional $$$750$$$ points. |

some pupil will probably think this is real and actually put their account up for sale |

Unlike cf where there's no stakes, usaco results often affect university applications in the United States. Not only are these contestants are banned from participating, the contest organizers also have to notify universities. |
|
+3
From http://usaco.org/index.php?page=dec22results, Dealing with cheating is one of the main reasons it can take such a long time to post contest results. |
|
+16
it'll keep happening until usaco learns and installs https and cloudflare one day (it also got ddosed last year) |

i bet the last of my hot cheetos supply that US3RN4M3 will win ioi 2023 |
|

It's not about not letting newbies test, its more about trust. If I have a friend from school who is newbie and I trust a lot, then hell yea I'll let them test. |
|
+7
imo, this problem is way too generic to appear on codeforces altogether, regardless of whether it has been copied from a recent contest or not |
|
+87
Maybe teams preferred? But there hasn't been too much of those rounds recently :/ Would like more of them even if they're unrated. |
|
+1
I never discouraged paying setters to propose problems, but when you put money on the line someone's probably going to take shortcuts. The problem I was thinking of is Segment Cost which is ripped right off Sheikh. |
|
+14
this isn’t really relevant but last time i took part in a contest a few problems were literally ripped straight off codeforces (i literally copied and pasted my codeforces submission) so please improve your problem stealing measures so you don’t waste money |
|
+72
do you even understand half the words you just said? |
|
+41
i don’t know who Cereal2 is either |
|
+14
yes, teams of size 1 — 3 are permitted |
|

I can confirm the problems will be inspirational, with topics ranging from cereal to genshin impact. |
|
+28
as a tester i can confirm not even the fire emoji can express how hot the problems are |
|

thanks, it has been fixed |
|

they’re the editorial writers for that problem |
|
+13
cyan wasnt there when i posted the comment lol |
|
+28
it's ironic that all the testers are not actually eligible for div 3... |
|
+2
Hi, we are already in the process of rewriting the editorial for this problem. Please wait a bit and check back :) |
|
+12
Hi, we were just made aware during the contest. Tbh, just unlucky, none of us were aware of the problem, including the 40 testers and coordinator |
|
+8
Hi, the issue should be fixed :) |
|
+89
Hi everyone, We would also like to mention this round was mostly made possible by problemsetters from the CerealCodes initiative! What is CerealCodes? CerealCodes is an organization based in the United States dedicated to running high quality competitive programming contests. You can check out our previous contest here. We are holding our second contest on August 13-15th, with over $1k in prizes for pre-college students and some great raffles for everyone! We invite everyone to also participate in this contest! If you're interested, be sure to join our discord server and check out more info here. |
