The rapid growth of AI has made it increasingly difficult to ensure fair competition in online programming contests. While most participants compete honestly, the availability of powerful AI tools creates opportunities for unfair advantages during ICPC preliminary rounds.

To preserve the integrity of the competition, ICPC preliminaries should be conducted at designated examination centers such as IITs, NITs, and IIITs. A supervised environment would significantly reduce the possibility of AI-assisted problem solving and ensure that qualification is based on genuine programming ability.

ICPC is meant to identify the best problem solvers, not the best users of external tools. As AI continues to advance, moving preliminary rounds to supervised centers would help maintain the credibility, fairness, and prestige of the competition.
