I am writing this blog from my alt forking. On 21 September, my main account daemonfork got banned after the Codeforces Round 1122 (Div 3).

Initially, I honestly thought it was a false positive because I didn't know that taking hints would trigger a ban. This was only my 3rd contest and my first time making an account here, so I didn't fully understand the policy. I knew copy-pasting a whole solution was an instant ban, but after reading and understanding the full policy today, I realize now that taking hints is exactly what caused this.

Because of this misunderstanding, I got into a serious conversation with Um_nik in the contest blog earlier link to comment. I want to sincerely apologize to him for getting defensive and replying out of frustration. I was just stressed about the ban and hadn't realized my mistake yet.

I took mini hints on a few problems, but I really tried to write the actual code based on my own understanding. I have definitely learned my lesson about how strict the system is and what happens if you cross that line. I just need one chance to prove I can do this right, and I promise it won't happen again.
