We live in a steadily upgrading society. Problem solving and algorithmic thinking is an art which has steadily defined human progress over quite some time. Although this art has defined progress over centuries, the computer age has significantly highlighted it as a progressive entity rather than a passive one. Many people believe that this is the era of rapid technological advancement. Day after day each sector of industry is undergoing automation advancement, thanks to the surplus of computer science engineers and software professionals. While monitoring closely we find changes, we may find rapid development, but the reality is quite different. It is definitely a hidden fact far from our reach, now. Problem solving is an art humans have developed over millenniums. We are millennials in our thought evolution. Today every country's education system is competitive. Every job prospect competitive. Humans have become competitive to achieve short term goals of name and fame, with their only focus on a long-term goal being financial stability and dominion over others. Automation and artificial intelligence have made many core difficult processes simpler. Various simulators provide us an early picture of events, scientific phenomenon and industrial processes even before their start and completion. However, let us look at another facet. The core of every computer, electronic devices was designed in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. This was during the peak of industrial revolution where automation had no practical sense.

If we look over the past few decades there has been advancement but only in miniature designing, app development, social networking, software and IT related prospects. But the truth is we have not advanced any further than we were in 19th and 20th century. Back then problem solving is treated as an art, a way of progress, a way of light, a way of life. But today, it is considered just to be a financial prospect. This is the same case with the education systems over many countries. Various olympiads and entrance exams only try to test a student’s scholastic aptitude but not his scientific temper. There is difference between scholastic aptitude and scientific temper. Every human can be trained to achieve any level of scholastic aptitude biasing students who may not have the resources or guidance to achieve it. Thus, we have to direct our problem solving to a better path. Automation is one of the biggest gifts of problem solving. But it does not mean total reliance. We need to come up with it all into a next level, say suppose:

An automation code with timely human interference.

We may have developed it or may not. But everything needs progress. So was the case with submarines in the 15th and 16th centuries before their actual deployment in late 19th and early 20th centuries.

That's it for today. I have shared a blog in a philosophical way but looking forward to post algorithm of different situations and problems which may come handy to new learners in near future.
