Why did my rating increase after wrong submission??

Hi, I am completely new here. In last contest, Codeforces Round 674 Div 3, I submitted problem A, but it failed some testcases. And after the contest, i found a solution elsewhere and submit it and got accepted. But my rating increased, but WHY?? Was that because of hacking phase running while the problem got accepted??

    Thanx a lot brother... If u dont mind, im asking a question again to be clear☺ Submitting in hacking phase doesnt do anything to the rating???

      Hacking phase is just supposed to make tests stronger.Submitting solutions even a second after the contests gets over has no effect on your rating.
