Before downvoting, consider this: I searched for post, where I can i find relevant information. But all relevant posts are downvoted questions without any comments.

I guess that it is because, somewhere we have answer(so older and more influential users downvote any similar question ), but no one can find it(so newer users continue to spam question again and again). As a result we have situation where users can't get information, while feed is full of spam.

So may be you will give me answer, to break this vicious circle?) Or you can downvote the hell out of me, motivating people to post this question again.

P.S. Sorry for mistakes; english is not my first language.

It would be great if we supported Swift (Atcoder already does).

Here it is: HosseinYousefi. It is a good idea.

Honestly I agree with this. However, I think that it would be a pain to add and I feel that most people won't be using it as it is still relatively new.

How hard is it to add new languages? Naively, I'd assume it's relatively easy to just download some version of the language and write a compile + run command, but I guess maybe it's much more challenging at Codeforces' scale?

Perhaps, but I think the bigger thing is the viability. Most users use C++, Java, or Python anyway and switching to another language is not only costly but also requires time and extra experience.

I'm saying from Codeforces' perspective, not from a single user. For me, it would be very difficult to switch to Swift because I've already practiced with Java for a long time.

But I meant like, how much of a pain for Mike would it be?

I assume the target audience would be more for new users of Codeforces who already want to use Swift, or who want to practice/learn Swift via Codeforces problems (rather than C++ users who want to switch to Swift). Right now they might all go to Atcoder and have to do math problems. :P

I don't know, but is it legal to "download some version of the language and write a compile + run command"? It would be nice to have swift on Codeforces.
