Sorry about it. Probably, the main reason is a network misconfiguration which leads to degradation of connection speed between some services. Strange things that I didn't change any network settings. Actually, both slow judging and logout issues are sides of the same coin. I asked for the help of the experienced specialist to help me. We are continuing to work on it. No more details at this moment. Sorry again. I'll run testing round before the next round to be sure that everything is OK.
Actually running a 5-10 min testing round before a rated round sounds like a great idea — both for participants and for organizers
Maybe the scheduling was a little incorrect? Mike, dude, don't you think that you are doing something wrong? With each new contest, the quality of the tasks, queue, lags are rapidly getting worse. You have such a large amount of money from donations, why can't you spend them in the right place? Are you really that greedy? You are a complete disappointment, Mike. https://codeforces.me/blog/entry/76777?#comment-613683 https://codeforces.me/blog/entry/76777?#comment-613771 "I've done my best to write clear problem statements" Are you fucking kidding us? That's not even funny at this point. Hope you have enough money now to finally cure your brain cancer.
Do you think tasks were bad? I quite enjoyed them. The long queue that ruined the experience for me.
IMHO, these were one of the shittiest tasks I've ever seen. Just take a look at Div1C. Please, show me literally one place, where it's interesting, I would really appreciate that.
To me seemed interesting, kept me busy thinking, also I like when math problems can be rephrased and solved in terms of graphs. Yes, I did not solve it from the first take — but come on, you did not either.
You seem to have misunderstood Div1C. See https://codeforces.me/blog/entry/76777?#comment-616320 (in particular, your approach seems to be the same as https://codeforces.me/blog/entry/76777?#comment-616363)
Wtf is with all this crowdfunding shaming? You all realize that $100k is a yearly salary of a good developer? Even if Mike took this for himself and did that every year, it wouldn't be that bad or greedy. Instead, it's for a few years and the money goes to maintaining the biggest competitive programming platform in the world, with hundreds of thousands of users, and millions of submissions.
Of course, you have the right to make a decision but I want to suggest you better to ask expert or even candidate master instead of a specialist
I think he is talking about enlisting the help of a network specialist
r/woosh
Made my day XD
Something like,"You can participate iff you submit during the testing round and the round will be rated for you if you submit during the testing round irrespective of you submit or not during the actual contest" sounds both evil and fun xD
We've had enough of apologies, time to take action! MAKE CODEFORCES OPEN SOURCE 2020
Is this the first post from Mike where is more downvotes then upvotes? Really?
This is so disrespectful to the problem setters.
So much effort goes in creating these beautiful contests.
They deserve an apology before us.
But, on the other side, they get more thankfulness messages than others, due to this mistake of CF) These problems was so good.
