Maintaining tradition from last year and the year before last I want to start a list of participants of the International Olympiad in Informatics 2017.
This year IOI will be held in Tehran, Iran between 28th July and 4th August.
Official website: http://ioi2017.org/
Facebook page: ioi2017.org
Update:
Check out the new version of this list with sorting and CF rating (updated by CF API):
http://weaselcrow.com/pro/cf/ioi2017/
Feel free to add (confirmed!) participants from your country here: https://goo.gl/forms/4BskHKHmZ70Tdck22 (preferred way) or below, in comments.
It will be nice, if you will write grade of participants :D
High School/Secondary school grades aren't universal though, perhaps their age or how many more years they will be eligible for IOI would be more useful.
Added some approximation of "grade", but KieranHorgan is right, it is really hard to have unified term for each country.
12th Grade is the last year of second level education isn't it? So it would probably be easier to convert to other systems if we just say that 12th grade is the last year of your "High School" education. So I'm in my third to last year, therefore I would be considered to be in 10th grade.
Who are the candidates for the last position in Poland's team?
Mieszko Grodzicki (not sure, but probably train_driver) and Anadi Agrawal (Anadi). It will be determined after Baltic Olympiad in Informatics.
What about kpw29 and a.piasta?
And Chameleon2460 and budro and pawelek1... I don't know what happened, some people just achieved some random results in the second 10s xD
у тебя была эта эвристика, которая дала 92 очка, не можешь сказать, что твой результат был случайный
Почему на русском?
You can see results of Polish Olympiad in Informatics here: http://oi.edu.pl/l/24oi_3etap_wyniki/
You just need to find matching between Codeforces handles and names :)
Stop embarassing us, please XD
cough, cough, Talent, cough, cough
xD
Just curious — what is the Polish team for BOI? boi2017.org is practically useless.
with me and Jarek Kwiecień yarek being proud team leaders :)
Kacper Kluk is wonrzrzeczny
The Syrian team is as follows(arranged by their place in the selection test):
1- Mahmood Hasan tweety grade:12th he's a bronze medelist from 2016
2- Samir droubie SaYami grade:12th he's a bronze medelist from 2016
3- Fadi younes repeating grade:11th first partisipation
4- Mohammad diwk Bug grade:12th
Is 12th grade the last grade?
Yes the 12th grade is the last grade before collage in Syria.
woops, I came across something interesting...
LOL
Bug, Bug what do you have to say about this ???
The number of completed years of education doesn't mean anything, but the number of remaining attempts does.
I'd suggest to change it to the number of remaining attempts now, while the list is quite small.
Done.
Kyrgyzstan IOI 2017 Team:
1. Amangeldi bktl4ever Zhusubaliev — IOI 2016 Participant, 11-th grade, 0 attempts left
2. Akbarjan lnovak Madaminov — Participating first time, 10-th grade, 1 attempt left
3. Arsen AcPlusOne Kasymov — IOI 2016 Participant, 10-th grade, 1 attempt left
4. Bolot bolot.bekbolotov Bekbolotov — IOI 2016 Participant, 11-th grade, 0 attempts left
So, the only difference is swap (Azret, lnovak) [I've graduated last year]. :)
Note: we have 11-grade education system.

I guess Keiya Sakabe is KeiyaSakabe. This is the last IOI for all four Japanese students.
By the way, there's an interesting story. This year the top 14 people of JOI Finals were invited to the team selection camp. Four of them are eligible next year. Two of them are twins, and the other two are also brothers. That means next year the team members can be two families.
Added, thanks!
Actually, I (E869120) and square1001 are twins.
But I have other interesting story in the team selection camp, the 5-th place person, 6-th place person and 7-th place person (The border is 4-th place) are eligible next year.
Team Korea (in Korean alphabetic order)
Assuming all normal conditions, Gyuho Suh is only eligible for IOI 2018. So he have one attempts left.
USA candidates are currently
Current top 4:
Hopefully this changes at camp ;)
Don't forget kyleliu :)
Do you know when the USA finalists will be announced?
Now!
Where is waterfalls?
He had other commitments this summer. Clearly, he's good enough to have been a finalist.
So you guys have another TST other than US Open?
We go to USACO training camp for 10 days and the ~12 top scorers throughout the year take a series of tests, which will determine the final team. I'm not sure about the format since this will be my first time.
Would you please change my color to Grandmaster? I'll be much appreciated :)
Congrats on making the team!
Update after three out of six contests (1000 pts):
New Zealand IOI 2017 team members: 404 not found
So you mean there are real people in New Zealand?
I mean nz is not going this year.
Why not?
too poor && too weak
Gotta take care of their sheep.
I don't think we can be sure New Zealand even exists. http://worldmapswithout.nz/
Do you think that the fact that the IOI is being held in Iran will cause any problems (no offense to people in Iran)?
probably, iran is such a terrible place. thank god u live in the land of freedom where the government breaks into ur granny's telegram to protect u from north-korean islamic communism. god bless america
I understood that the Israeli team and probably the US and some other countries will do the same contest at the same time(officially) from Russia.
Why do you think so?
The Israeli team definitely does this. The issue between Iran and Israel was known in advance and you can check IOI General Assembly minutes for discussion on this matter. IIRC Innopolis University has invited the Israeli team.
Not sure about the US team. It would make sense though.
Latvia:
Three more :
Ukraine :
Anton arsijo Tsypko, first participation
Stanislav giraffeh Tomash, first participation
Illia kilt_01 Koval, first participation

Team Finland:
Current Bulgaria National team. There is onee selection left. It will be at 7th May.
Ivan vanjo9800 Ivanov :)
Not that the date really matters, but it will be at 7th of May, not 8th.
OK! Thanks! What is your prediction for the end team?
I think the top3 will remain as it is — the differences aren't insignificant. I have no clue about the 4th place — it can easily be anyone from current 4th to 9th
One more silver?
Maybe a bronze to get the full collection
Australian team members: i will leave it here after officially announced
Chung-Yao Cheng
from Taiwan has codeforces handle mark31408a , thanks.Team Brazil:
Sorry, I made a little mistake. bill_kondo's name is William Kondo, with 'm', not Willian.
I'd be very glad if you could fix it :)
please, kostka, could you fix it?
Done, I didn't get a notification without mention.
Thank you very much!
I'm very curios about Turkish Team this year.
Don't be curious, it will be like Newbie, Newbie, Newbie, Newbie.
Note: Thanks to user Newbie because of s/he's a "newbie".
Don't be salty cuz you couldn't come to IOI last year.
PS: Sorry, but that's a bitchy move.
It has nothing to do with "me don't going to IOI". Let me tell what is a "bitchy move",
Turkish olympiad committee decide to some schools not to participate team selection contests. Because of that muratt, ykaya, _Eren_, Bugday, Bera won't have places in Turkish team, even if they're in high school now.
I just don't think about myself only, I am sad about these people can't have they deserved.
I personally adore the olympiads, even this year, I did teach lessons in Winter Camp, write problems for Team Selection Contest and I want Turkey to be good at it still. But quality of our team is a lot worse than last year and it's not students problem. I don't have any problem with them and I didn't say "I hope they will suck at IOI". I want them to be good.
PS: Sorry, but don't accuse people with stupid things and shut up when you can't think reason of something.
What is the reasoning of that? As far as I know according to IOI regulations all eligible competitors must be given an opportunity to participate in selections.
They are two participate condition this year.
-Your SBS Point must be grater than 490(on 500 points), which is a exam for high schools. This didn't effect so many participant. determinism's point was 489.5 so he didn't get a change for team selection contest.
-You must studying in your high school from earlier than 12/31/2015. This is for to cut out students from specific high schools, which are shut down this year because of politic stuff.
So here we are with a fucked up Turkish olympiad this year.
The second restriction really doesn't sound like something that complies with the IOI regulations of fair opportunity, but unfortunately I highly doubt that anything can be done about it.
If you want to see our team,
http://apio17.org/results/
Ooh, sorry you can't see because results doesn't include 0 points.
Did the rest really get 0?
Funny isn't it xd
What is Atacan's username?
Team Bulgaria:

Chinese team members:

Jiaqi Yang, jiaqiyang
Zhixian Zhong, consecutivelimit
for some reasons, all the chinese participants can only participate IOI once
thanks for figuring my fault out :)
plz comment it if anyone know zzx's cf account. cheers
Maybe Zhixian Zhong's CF account is consecutivelimit. And what's more,it's Mingkuan Xu who got the 2nd place, not Xuming Kuan (You reversed his first name and his last name).
By the way, what place did matthew99 get at the previous year selection?
5......fml
Isn't it better, that you qualified this year? I heard that you can participiate only once.
Maybe you are right
Was that because you failed a relatively simple problem on first day?
Partially due to this.
The Greek team:
The Azerbaijan IOI2017 Team:

Farhod what about your country?

Indonesian team going to IOI 2017 :
Additional info : Both Steven and Yehezkiel have 1 attempt left, while Sergio and Kwee have no more attempt left.
Oh and I got a typo. The fourth member should be "Yehezkiel Raymundo Theodoroes" instead of "Yehezkiel Raymundo Theodores"
Could you please update the post about this? Thanks :) kostka
Done, sorry for the delay!
Would you please change my color to Legendary Grandmaster? I'll be much appreciated :)

Peter participated from Austria and Michal from Norway.
No, we export them :)

The first two be like:

Alexandra Drozdova demon1999, 0 attempts left, 2016 Silver*
4 attempts left? Russian team? Wow, I'm impressed. Especially looking at Egor.Lifar's history on CF.
wait so he started when he was year4 or something like that?
very impressive :) i was playing toy cars at that time >>
Me too :)
Wow, girl in russian team!
PS. I'm not against participation of girls in IOI.
Very impressed that Egor.Lifar is 8-th (?) grader and participates for Russian Team and also max rating is red in Topcoder...
And voidmax is a 10-th (?) grader is almost International Grandmaster. So strong...!
Also, good luck for them and every participants of IOI!
In Russia there is 11 grade system, so Egor.Lifar is 7-th grader and voidmax is 9-th grader.
What does this mean?
Can't you understand that it's not for you if you can't translate it?
Dick...
I actually can mostly understand the words, just not the context of this picture.
By the way, when you comment on Codeforces you can choose "in Russian" so that your comment will only be shown to those who have Codeforces in Russian.
Top 5 of russian qualification:
As we all know, top-4 heavily depends on which subset of competitions is considered "qualification" by the officials.
Was there any reasonable good subset on which Daniil not in top-4?
You all forget about tolerancy! They need a red, a yellow, a violet and a girl in the team.
Something like sum of the following:
This way Daniil is ranked sixth because of low score on the all-Russian olympiad (he was ranked 30th).
Why we didn't see this table?
Moreover, these three problems from past IOIs were approximation problems.
Bratan, ne umiray, ya s toboi!!!
That sounds weird.
During my IOI camp the jury selected such problems that 90% of participants scored 300 during the first hour of competition.
The purpose was just to make sure the contest "from past IOIs" wouldn't affect the potential candidates at all.
This time, jury didn't tell "It will scores like 4 other contests", so it should be ok. It was more like 4 contests + ROI, but as I said they didn't show us scoreboard.
Are you guessing this figures and system or you know for sure? If it is official, why contestants were not informed? It is like coming to the contest where you do not know how (and which of) your solutions will be scored right till the end of it. Would you enjoy participating in this? Or the second variant, the worst suspicion — the system was invented AFTER the end of qualification tours so that the desired team was selected?
I have no idea on when the system was invented, whether it's official, and whether contestants were informed; only heard some rumors. I have not participated in the last summer camp at all. I think participants can provide much better insight on what was announced to them by the officials.
Watch meme and you will understand.
Demon1999 seems hot. Did she choose this nickname because she's a demon for boys' heart?
no
yes
Romania's IOI team:
BTW, where can we find analysis of your selections?
They are available on the selection camps' websites: first and second. The editorials are in Romanian, but they also provide source codes and tests. Also, some problems have an English explanation on CSAcademy.
Andrei1998 almost missed qualification for national OI. This is how good the romanian selection system is.

Unfortunately I am about three weeks too old to participate :(
For Cuba there will be only one student: dmga44, without previous participation.
What happened
It seems that in the last 4 years (5 including this), Cuba had only one contestant and the last 5 years before that, there were only 2 participants (source). I'm curious to find out the reason for that, too, but I believe that it might have something to do with lack of funds.
Due to budget problems, the Cuban Ministry of Education does not allocate the necessary funds, not only for the IOI, but also for the IMO, IPhO, IChO, when someone participates, it is only a student, sometimes no one participates. In the last two years I stayed in second place, I wanted to participate in the IOI.
Aand did you try (or, are you at least allowed) to organize a fundraise? In most of the countries, there are enough companies interested in the development of the future generations that would happily support, at least, part of the expenditure. Something similar happened last year with Venezuela and they finally made it to IOI. I believe you could do some research regarding this issue. Maybe fund raising actually is a solution to the problem. Anyway, I'm sorry that you and others like you couldn't make it to international olympiads...
Yes, we have researched on the subject of financing, but in Cuban society there is little culture about such campaigns to support people or groups so that they can out their activity if they lack the necessary funds or the budget provided by the government it is insufficient, there is even much fear or political resentment that prevents an effective campaign of collection. On the other hand we have not found in the country the legal framework that allows us to do so and we have not found the support and interest institutional that we would like from our ministry of education.
Sorry for taking so long to respond.
UD: https://www.facebook.com/groups/178454288874904/permalink/1066791666707824/ Unfortunately it is in Spanish. We tried to do it, but we could not find the right way to do it.
Actually it's 6 years, since 2011 Cuba only sends 1 contestant to the IOI
PS: Cuba didn't sent any contestant to IOI in the years 2003, 2007, 2011, 2013
EDIT: added IOI 2013 in Australia, thx to alurquiza
In 2013, to Australia, no Cuban contestant participated.
We are all trying to change this situation, it is necessary that more people join together so that next time the cuban team goes with the full members.
I liked the site a lot, good job.
I added almost everything I wanted. It looks even better now :)
I'm very impressed that there are nearly 20 participants who have more than or equal to 3 attenpts left, and especially Egor.Lifar, gamegame has 4 attempts left, cow02 has 5 attempts left!
And I think zscoder is so strong because he has 3 attempts left though he is a Grandmaster!
Also, good luck for them and every participants of IOI!
Seems like cow02 is participating in IOI 2015 and 2016. If he can participate all his future eligible IOI, he will participate 8 IOIs. I want to know what is the current record of number of participations in IOI.
UPD: Seems like Gennady Korotkevich (tourist)'s participation is 7 and currently this is maximum. The infos are here.
Is it really such great achievement to participate in several IOIs?
It's rather honor and pleasure,I'm too jealous :)
My point is that if there's no one older who can (or want) participate, that might be related to some problems with education...
