gotta love these facebook comments
time to get a ton of friend requests from obviously fake profiles! :')
Some of them are like: Sir please can you hack my gf's account for God's sake. I think she has been cheating on me. Please help me.
"They are hackers on steroids, treating the web like a real-life video game. Sacking websites, invading Facebook accounts, disrupting innocent peoples’ lives — and if you fight back, WATCH OUT!"
I still haven't received T-shirt from last year's event :/
Strange, I got mine months ago. Maybe something went wrong during shipping :/
Maybe you could try messaging wjomlex
I still haven't received prize from last year's event :/
Well, I still haven't received prize from 2015 event :)
Same here. Their prize payouts have been a joke for some time now. For the 2015 prize, the last thing I got was a tax form for businesses to fill out, like, 17 months ago.
Well, we still have not received prize money from last year..
Hey! At least you still got the register page from the last year!
Hi, it would be my first Hackercup and wanted to ask that can I see my friend's submission after completion of each round of Facebook HackerCup? If yes can you guide me how?
Hi, yes, you can do that. When you enter the website that contains a round, there is a menu to check the scoreboard. There's a tab specifically to check how your friends did. After the contest, you can click the submissions to see their source code.
Yeah, I did exactly that for previous 2016 one, but it does not show code everytime I click on source. It says:
Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.
Ah, I think that's just a bug. There was probably some change in the servers and they didn't fix it yet. I think these pages are only used during this time of the year and were probably forgotten.
Okk thanks a lot.
Then I guess, that's a lie
"Then I guess, that's a lie"
No. I messaged wjomlex yesterday and he said they're working to fix the issues mentioned in the comments of this page.
I'm guessing you're allowed to use additional libraries in your program similar to GCJ?
Also could anyone let me know of libraries/code/tricks which wont work on cf but will work in these contests?
I recommend you read the faq of 2016 and the terms of participation.
Regarding your questions, one potentially useful technique is using multi-threading to compute the several answers (but an efficient solution does not need this unless you have a very slow computer). You can use libraries as long as they don't violate these terms:
As a condition of participating in the Competition and by submitting a Submission, you warrant to Facebook that your Submission:
Does not include any unsuitable or offensive content, including nudity, sexually explicit, disparaging, libelous or other inappropriate content.
Does not include any content that is in violation of or infringes third party intellectual property rights including, but not limited to copyrights, including music copyrights, trademarks, and rights of publicity.
Has not been entered in previous contests, or won previous awards, and has not been published or distributed previously in any media.
Is suitable for a general audience and does not contain any unsubstantiated, false and/or misleading claims.
As a condition of participating in the Competition and by submitting a Submission, each Competitor grants Facebook the right to contact Competitor and use and publicize his/her Submission as described further below.
Then better not write "P = NP" in a comment :)

:P
It's been 12 days and the registration page still says it's for the 2016 cup.
I'm new to FB HackerCup and I must say that the fact that there is no 'small' input like GCJ must make it very nerve wracking during contest since a small bug could be fatal which otherwise would be apparent during GCJ small input.
Are there any news regarding the onsite event, like dates or location? I've seen some discussions in the Facebook group for 2016 onsite finalists, and it looks like they've got some information. However, it's not public yet. Even some people on Quora are interested.
