Only after several months I discovered how to add someone as your friend. After opening their profile click the star next to their nick.
How did u find this blog.. I had written it 20 months ago when I had joined codeforces.
This is a top blog! At least after typing friend into the search box. :)
So I guess now people without friends will have easier life to make some.

You can add anyone to keep track how he/she is doing, what he/she is solving by clicking the "STAR" sign in his/her profile.
