Your Favourite New Year Present: Change Handle Before the January 10th For Free!

Hurry! Only until the 10th of January, you can change your handle (but only once)! Note that it will be possible to roll back the changes or change the handle again only after a year. Be careful what you wish for.

You can change your handle to the new one which wasn't used before by anybody or which was used by you before. The links to a profile page with old handle would automatically redirect to the actual profile.

Talking about handles I always reminisce the following story. Once a user wrote me the message: "Please change my handle from I_love_Valya to I_love_Sveta, as I no longer love Valya ..."

every year a lot of people I know just disappear and other names appear but I don't know who were they(their old handles), in my opinion your handle is your identity and changing it makes you other person for most of the others, that's why I don't change my handle.

I wish if the the admins make a feature to show the list of one's old handles in his/her profile so people can know who was the person.

What about this idea: make some type of masquerade, but not with colors, as in previous year, but with nickname? I mean, what about make it possible to change nickname twice during New Year Holidays? IMHO, that would be quite funny. Actually, I want to change my nickname but I don't know, would it be a great idea or not.

Как насчет такой идеи: сделать что-то вроде карнавала, но не с цветами, как в прошлом году, а с никами? Я имею в виду сделать возможным смену ника дважды на протяжении новогодних праздников? Мне кажется, что это будет довольно весело. К тому же, я хочу поменять свой ник, но не знаю, насколько он будет хорош.

Seems that the redirection from old username to new one isn't configured properly. On Chrome, it may cause error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

Annoyingly, it's impossible to take the names of people who changed their handle FROM the one you want to something different. That means that this handle is used by nobody but you still can't take it, even if it has been free for a year :(

There's a bug to be fixed. I changed my handle to "I_love_CC". In the profile page it's changed, but it still remains the old handle "zkx06111" in the room I was competing (at the #338 Round).
