Hello,

I recently received a notification from Codeforces regarding a potential similarity between submissions in a recent contest. I believe this situation raises some concerns about the reliability and accuracy of the platform's code similarity detection system.

While automated plagiarism detection is undoubtedly useful for maintaining contest integrity, it should not be treated as definitive proof of misconduct. Similarities in code can sometimes occur naturally, especially when participants solve the same problem using standard algorithms, common programming patterns, or similar approaches.

I believe the current evaluation process should take these factors into account and distinguish between genuine plagiarism and coincidental similarities. A warning based solely on code resemblance, without a more thorough examination of the context and underlying logic, can lead to unfair conclusions.

I hope Codeforces will reconsider how its detection system evaluates similar submissions and ensure that any potential violations are reviewed carefully and fairly before warnings or penalties are issued.
