Hello users of codeforces. There is some people who don't know about KHIMO olympiad which hosts in Uzbekistan. Every year, Uzbekistan hosts the Al-Khwarizmi International Olympiad (KhIMIO)—a big contest for high school students named after the famous mathematician al-Khwarizmi. Countries bring over small teams split between math and informatics, usually up to four kids per subject along with two adult leaders.

The math part has two four-hour written exams. Students get four hard problems per session, adding up to 8 points total per problem. Informatics is pretty much the same setup time-wise, but instead of paper work, contestants sit down for two days of competitive programming in C++, tackling three algorithmic problems each afternoon. Medals go out using the standard 1:2:3 rule for Gold, Silver, and Bronze, and winners usually get some cash prizes too alongside their diplomas.

Apart from the contest itself, it’s a pretty cool event where you get to meet other coders and math nerds from different places, hang out, and see some historical spots in Uzbekistan.
