...for what I've done in the past few days.

In case you are living under a rock:

Firstly, I want to apologize cry and other users who I DMed. I'm sorry for disturbing all of you in the recent days. Yes, I know that what I did is stupid, but to be honest, I don't know what to do in that situation.

Secondly, I want to apologize the users who are intending to make a div3/4 but now can't do it because of the limit. I, myself, am one of them so I understand how angry you are, and how much hate you are having on me ;). "hi my name is duy mince 3434 and today im gonnan propose actual shit in a kettle to cry" — someone said that about me lol. So, I sincerely apologize to all of you, because of this dumb mistake.

Spoiler

Thirdly, and finally, I want to apologize my friend dinhhuubaonam123, who had spent sooo much time on making the contest. Yes, I'm dumb, sorry ;).

Also, I want to say something to the CF team about the minimum number of contests needed to propose a div3/4:

Dear Codeforces team,

Recently, you have just introduced the new feature of proposing a div3/4. The condition to propose is simple, yet too hard and take too much time to meet this condition especially for new users: You have to be at least CM or an Expert with at least 100 contests. To put that in perspective, last year, there are exactly 67 contests. For a normal CPer who has a life, they can only participate around 50 contests. This means that, you would need roughly 2 years just to be able to propose that contest which you have dreamed of years ago. According to this blog, it takes 1.674 years in average to reach Candidate Master, so I think it is unnecessary to make the limit 100 contests. My suggestion is to make it 50-75 contests, or simply just remove it, since before, even pupil/ cyan can make a div4 (Although this have never happened before as I remember). I believe that making the condition to high would make us lose many talented problemsetters.

Well, of course you can just ignore this blog since I'm just a pupil who is lucky enough to become a specialist. However, reducing the number of contests needed would be a great new for us, because I believe that not only me, but many other users want this change too.

Thank you for reading this; sorry for pinging you into this blog but I think that you should read it. MikeMirzayanov.

So it's the end for this blog, I hope that I can be forgived for what I've done. Bye, and good luck participating in the upcoming round 1128!

At first I thought about adding rickroll in the end of the blog, but this blog should be serious, so I didn't do it ;)

Maybe you can ask a CM+ friend to propose it for you?

Friend? What is that? I haven't heard of it since I was born

Alongside rating, we should also have a lowerbound on age to be able to access the internet.

Was this really your fault? If anything the change made it looser (div3/4 are impossible to propose even for master+) -> div3/4 is possible with cm or expert with diabolical number of contests

Both of your accounts are less than one year old. Don't you think it's a bit too early to be proposing a contest that will likely have over 30,000 members participating in it?

Anyhoo, if you're interested in becoming a problemsetter, great! Please don't have your first contest be a rated one. I started problemsetting with a school contest (PHSCO — on an unrelated note, that's in one week from now! Check it out if you're interested in a fun Div4/Div2 difficulty round with prizes), which has taught me a lot in the two years I've run it. The first time I ran PHSCO, there were so many issues that I'm sure I would be eviscerated and sent to the bottom of the contribution leaderboard if it was a rated contest. No matter how high-quality you think your contest proposal is, you'll never know how good of a problemsetter you are until you've hosted a contest and received participant feedback on it at least once or twice, and that first time ideally shouldn't be with a rated contest. Since it appears that both of you are from the same school, you should consider that pathway if you really want to have others participate in your contest.

Either way that's just my two cents on the situation. (I do agree that the barrier for entry should be a bit lower, maybe as a combination of both account age and contests participated, but that's also just me being salty that I meet have the problemsetting criteria either.) Don't be too hard on yourself but also realize that, realistically, being able to propose a rated Div3/4 less than one year after account creation is never going to happen.
