it appears to propose a div3/div4 as an expert you would need to have participated in 100 contests. 100 contests is an absurdly large amount and would take around 2 years for even the most active users. please consider reducing the amount to around 50, there are a lot of good problemsetters losing out from this.

Agree, there are only 67 (31 div2, 18 div3s, 4 div4s, 13 edu rounds) contests in 2025, which means that you would need to participate roughly half a year just to be able to propose a contest. I'm not saying that this feature is bad, although it clearly makes me harder to make a contest :skull:. Decreasing the number of contests needed to 50 — 75 would be good imo since the users still need to participate around a year and be an expert

I really think that the original intent was to limit it to CM+ only, but there exists some experts which are really talented/experienced and good problemsetters but can't make it out of expert since the expert-CM transition is pretty brutal so they were let in

I do think it should be lowered, but not by too much

This point is mainly valid for beginners who have less competitive programming experience.

Instead of reducing the contest requirement, users should focus on improving their problem-solving skills through consistent practice. Participating in contests on other platforms like CodeChef, AtCoder, and LeetCode can also help sharpen their skills and improve their ratings faster.

With enough practice, it is possible to reach Expert in less time by participating in fewer but more productive contests. The key is to solve as many problems as possible in each contest, especially those around your current rating range, and gradually push yourself to tackle harder problems.

it's okay no problem everyone started from this only, as i said codeforces is a bit level up, u can try on other platform and i am sure u can do easy first 2 3 problems maintain smae div as codeforces i.e div 3/4.
