I would say at the very least jmo q2/5. Could be much harder for all I know though given its quite difficult to put an upper bound on the difficulty of a problem I don’t know the answer to.
Let
Then
The constraint becomes
so
Also,
Hence
Now rewrite $$$P$$$:
Since $$$b^2\ge0$$$ and
we get
Put
Then
so
Finally,
hence
It remains to check that equality is attainable.
Equality requires
Thus
so
Taking
with the same sign gives $$$b=0$$$, hence $$$x=y=a$$$.
These values satisfy the original constraint, so the bound is attained.
Therefore,
is the minimum value of the expression
The solution for c++ should be
cout << -3;only...thanks for your very helpful advice
If u dont mind sharing, from where did u get this question and what are u puruing rn ?
aops exists btw
