When should we read the editorial?

I have a question for you: how long do you usually try to solve a problem before looking at the solution? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience with me.

I read the editorial if I don't have any new ideas for more than 20-30 minutes.

I usually read the editorial after a few failed attempts once I realize my idea was completely wrong. that usually happens after about 3 or 4 days. and I write the idea from the editorial 7–10 days later.

I almost never use editorials. The only few times I have used editorials is that I have spent at least 2 hours on the problem on two different days that I attempt on this problem (which has probably happened less than 10 times in the past year).
