In the contests I participated in before, I felt they had a lot of depth in thinking and the problems were interesting. But nowadays, the problems are all classic and only test coding ability. So is this because Codeforces' review process has become more lenient?

yes, the idea is obvious and implementation is annoying

I don't think that's necessarily the case. With the number of problems that we already have, it's hard to create a brand new one that isn't the same as another (specifically for hard problems). Yes, today's contest was too implementation-focused, and the problems were a bit confusing, but I don't think that's the case for other contests I've participated in recently.

contests this year have been good. the only thing worse about codeforces in 2026 is the cheaters.

I feel like there was a peak in codeforces, there were not so good problems in initial contests, then it gained and gained in problem quality, those problems are most interesting amongst all, and now its becoming almost similar topics and similar approaches

SOMEWHAT AGREE THE QUESTIONS ARE NOW MORE CODING BASED THAN LOGIC BASED

Only 2 bad contests in the last 20 numbered rounds are round 1117 and round 1112. Round 1098 also had a few issues but most of the complaints seem to come from the fact people don't know what binary search is. I also didn't like round 1115 but it's personal preference, most other people seem to have enjoyed it.

I've seen both people complaining about recent problems being too ad hoc and being too standard. Seems like people are just finding excuses for their mediocre performances.
