Hi everyone!
The OCPC (Osijek Competitive Programming Camp), an award-winning camp for university students preparing for ICPC and other coding competitions, is back this Summer 2026 — this time with two onsite editions:
- Hong Kong — 8–16 August 2026, hosted at the City University of Hong Kong.
- Iași, Romania — 12–20 September 2026, hosted at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași.
Both editions are organized by us together with local hosts at each site, and use the same contest set — so you take part in one of them. As a rough guide, the Iași edition is most convenient for teams based in Europe, and Hong Kong for teams in APAC and East Asia — but you are welcome at whichever you prefer. The camp is inspired by the competitive programming camps we attended during our active ICPC years: 7 ICPC-style contests (5 hours, 9–12 problems each), with analysis sessions and days off in between.
Please use this form to register for the camp!
Hong Kong — August 2026
- Venue: City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.
- Onsite hosts: Minming Li and Yixiong (City University of Hong Kong).
- Exact dates: 8–16 August 2026. Expected start time 10:00 HKT.
- Accommodation: We recommend using on-campus CityUHK Lodge (you can request reservation in the registration form).
Participation free is completely waived for in-person teams of this site!
Iași, Romania — September 2026
- Venue: Faculty of Computer Science, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași.
- Onsite host: Juve45 (Alexandru Ioniță, UAIC Iași).
- Exact dates: 12–20 September 2026. Expected start time 10:00 EEST.
Details
The participation fee for both online and onsite participants is 198€ per team (the same at both sites). As in previous editions, it does not include regular meals, travel or accommodation.
We support and empathize with those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine, therefore we offer free participation for affected individuals and teams affiliated with Ukrainian institutions.
Additionally, we offer the following discounts:
- Early bird discount: reduced fee of 147€ per team if you register at least a month before your edition starts — by 8 July 2026 for Hong Kong, or 12 August 2026 for Iași.
- Hardship discount: fee reduction to 48€ per team, on request, if the default fee makes it a financial burden for you.
- Hong Kong onsite teams: in-person participation in the Hong Kong edition is free for all onsite teams (accommodation not included).
We do not require any proof or documentation for hardship discount and trust your self-assessment. Nevertheless, we ask you to be mindful when using it, as we rely on participation fees as the baseline for running the camp.
Online participation. Online teams get a virtual window for each contest, opening at the same time as the onsite start at your chosen site. Start any time within 24 hours of the opening and you get your full 5-hour run; the window itself stays open for 29 hours in total, so a start later than the 24-hour mark is still possible but your run will be truncated at the close. Tutorial streams and discussions happen live, in sync with the onsite teams, so we recommend picking the edition whose time zone is closest to you. Recordings are available afterwards, and you can catch up asynchronously in the post-contest discussion channels.
If you miss your contest day entirely, you can still attempt the contest virtually at a later date, but out of competition — it won't be reflected on the final scoreboard or change other teams' ranks.
Most of our contests are originally developed for the camp. A small number of contests may be based on previous contests that have not been released to the general public. If you have seen some problems of a contest before, you can't participate on that day, and we will privately contact participants who might be affected.
After the camp, we will have a silence period during which camp materials will not be released to the public. We ask participants not to discuss the problems in public unless they obtained an explicit permission from contest authors.
If you would like to get a feel of the contests, you can find links to some of the previously published camp contests here.
If you have any questions, please join our Discord server, or reach out via the contact page for Hong Kong or Iași.
Registration
The registration form is here; you pick your location (Hong Kong or Iași) in it. Onsite capacity at both sites is limited, and applications for onsite participation are processed on a first-come-first-served basis, so please register early.
Registration closes two weeks before each edition's start for onsite teams and one week before for remote teams:
- for Hong Kong, by 25 July 2026 (onsite) and 1 August 2026 (remote);
- for Iași, by 29 August 2026 (onsite) and 5 September 2026 (remote).
If you require a visa, please register as soon as possible, as it can take a few weeks depending on your location.
Also, if your university or organization has a lively ICPC community that may be interested in attending, and you have contacts of people in charge (e.g. coaches), we would highly appreciate if you could share some details in a direct message to me. Thanks!

it me!
.
Oh, what an honor!
can I someone stream this?
Yup it will be streamed on YT
would it be possible to join as a team of outside university?
Hi, yes, it is possible, but please note that we're generally targeting Div. 1+ participants.
dayum
OCPC was one of the greatest sources of training in our ICPC journey. honored to be a part of this!
anyone can join (remote ofc and irrespective or rating?) and should we need to or is it mandatory for a full 3-member team ?
Yes, anyone can join, but the participation fee is per team, and we strongly recommend participants to be at least Div. 1 Codeforces level.
other than cses and usaco and the cf gym are there any materials to learn like public archive of ocpc or icpc contests? or is it "woah slow down dude, learn from the ground up first?"
