Why Can a Non-Participating Account Get Disabled on Codeforces?

If anyone has any idea about this situation, please let me know.

The account was disabled even though it never participated in any contest. I’m trying to understand what might have caused this or how to fix it. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.

      is it your account? If no, comments and blogs that resault in account deletion are also deleted from codeforces by moderators IIRC

        No, it’s not my account. It belongs to people I personally know, and they shared the details with me.

    They are not bots, not using scripts, and not doing any kind of crawling. These are just regular accounts used normally.

Perhaps, like tzqymu69i6, these users are bots and were banned for wasting judging resources.

    The people using these accounts are normal users that I personally know.

      Okay, that's weird. If they are not even alt accounts then perhaps they cheated, but that doesn't seem likely either.

      Edit- sorry, I did not see that they were unrated. Then this situation is very strange.

    no they didn't, they told me to know why their account have gone, I told them maybe because cheating in some contests, but they told me they didn't Participating in any contest before.

I can think of a few possibilities:

  • The account was used for crawling repeatedly,
  • The account made a huge traffic, or attempted a cyber attack to the site,
  • The account was made by a known bad bot (in an attempt to hoard many accounts), or
  • The account made a blog, a comment or a direct message containing inappropriate wording.

I have unbanned hananabuzenib and Nassar_Al_Barahmeh. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to keep bots under control, and their accounts were mistakenly flagged as bots due to unusual behavior patterns.
