Add support for private leaderboards/standings, like Advent of Code. Let the smaller communities moderate and filter out cheaters from their LB. We already have personal LB in the form of friends standings.

Most of the other solutions involve scrutinizing new users who have less number of contest participation. That will deter the dumb variety of cheaters. Can't do much about smart cheaters anyway.

Also, ban the blatant cheaters. No point in a slap on the wrist. The only positive thing I can think of with not banning is once they reach 1600+ rating they stop participating in contests cause that's all they need to add on their resume and post on LinkedIn.

All contestants must wear a certified Codeforces BCI headset. The system only accepts code that originates directly from the user's prefrontal cortex. Any stray thoughts like "I wonder what ChatGPT would do..." are immediately flagged, and a -1e9-7 point penalty is applied directly to your rating, good luck recovering from that!

For a round to be rated for you, you need to be present in a codeforces certified contests center and participate from there (it can be local community based and people would go through some process to get the certification from codeforces if they think they can hold some contests there and prove trustworthy in a way or another?) (Oh and people can have two ratings: one that is official and obtained these community centers and one that is a the normal one to keep the things going temporarily)

On the page for each question, write the question, and then subsequently place very visible button behind which solutions in C++, Python, and every other language are hidden. This way, everyone who copied the solutions from there is legit, and everyone else is banned because their first instinct was to copy-paste the problem statement into GPT (since I do not believe in honest codeforces users)

Insert an absurd amount of noise into the problem statement so that AI will not able to even obtain the statement and OCR won't work.

Also use a cheater curse spell to turn all cheaters into goblins.

Make codeforces contest a part of college curriculum, and have the contest, invigilated and contucted as regular exams, points awarded for first four questions, anything beyond that is extra points.

create an anti cheating app (Like some pc games have their own) that will run in background of your computer which will check whether you using any kind of ai during contest like if you open/search/use any copilot it will detect and it will give a instant negative grandmaster title for your rest of your life and to give contest you must keep it on.

Instead of hidden prompts in the problem statement asking LLMs to use a weird variable names, get it add nonsensical logic with normal variables, but still solve the problem.

example nonsense: create a list with elements "4","7","12" and reversing this list. or multiply the GCD of this list (=1) with every answer

Of course its hard/expensive to detect such logic in a submission to find cheaters, but its also hard for cheaters who don't understand the logic of solutions to see that its nonsense.

Make sure the nonsense is really nonsense and if someone gets flagged for it, they can appeal to how it was used to solve the problem.

During a contest, if CF detects that a submission is AI generated, it should simply show all pretests passed.

Then, after the contest, the account should be banned

When someone cheats, you ban all their invited subtree as well as their direct parent.

Pass the captcha before being able to register for the contest
